“It’s a wild nhio. The inside of wild nhios is a lot lighter, it also makes them a lot tougher to bite into. Usually they are dark purple with soft inside.”

“It reminds me of a fruit from Earth,” I spoke as I let Kahma lead me through the forest.

He said nothing in return, continuing to hold my hand as we walked through the woods. The dirt, I noticed, was green instead of the brown color I was used to seeing on Earth. I was surprised how I hadn’t realized it earlier, everything on Ocenum looked much different from what I was used to seeing.

I had a hard time believing I was actually awake and witnessing all of it. It felt too fantasy-like to be next to a silver man while walking in cyan forest.

Not to mention the silver man seemed to know every way how to please me while seemingly not wanting anything in return.

Sunshined through the branches of trees, making the forest come off more magical.

We walked for a long time without saying a word to each other. His hand tightened his grip on me every so often, as if he wasn’t sure I wasn’t real either. It was slowly getting darker around us, his closeness making me feel safe.

“We sleep here,” he said before pushing another button on his remote. In seconds there was a tent in front of us.

I hadn’t wanted to complain yet my legs were feeling sore. Nodding, I didn’t question the technology he had used to make the tent appear from thin air, I just opened the tent and crawled inside of it.

I heard him chuckle before he came inside as well.

Only thing inside the tent was a sleeping pod. “Can you make the fire while I go find something to drink and eat?” he asked as he threw me something that seemed a lot like a lighter.

“Yes, sir,” I said sarcastically, he made a sound that seemed like he enjoyed me calling him sir.

“Good girl,” with that he left me alone in the tent.

Not soon later I had gathered up enough sticks to make a small campfire close to the tent. Fire burned bright red.

As I watched the flames dancing, I thought about Kahma.

Kahma

Iwatched the female as she ate the food I had managed to catch. Flames from the fire gave her face shadows, making her look mysterious. Her face and hands were covered with the meat juices, her hair was messy. She looked absolutely amazing.

She had taken off her pants and now sat in front of me with just a shirt covering her body.

I felt her eyes on me every so often. “The next couple suns you gotta try to trust me,” I end the silence between us.

“Oh?” was the only reaction I got out of her.

“We will get to the crash soon,” I speak slowly, enjoying the view of her lips being open, “my drone wasn’t able to detect any spy-chips, it doesn’t mean there aren’t any. You gotta trust me until we get back to her hovering car.”

Kelsey gave me a shy smile, “I think on some level I have always trusted you.”

“What do you mean?”

“When I got to Ocenum everything was so confusing. I was convinced you wanted to kill me,” she chuckled, “yet I never fought you to escape. Then we got to the city… I wasn’t sure if you wanted to kill me, I convinced myself that you did. I didn’t want to stay at your place. I would have preferred to stay at the base… and I still believed you when you promised to not touch me…”

“You went through a lot,” I murmured, pushing a stick into the campfire to move sticks around.

I heard Kelsey get up and get closer to me, she sat so close to me I was able to smell her. “Yeah. I did. I wouldn’t have been here without you though. So thank you for taking me in despite having doubts about my story.”

Chuckled escaped my lips. “Like I had a choice,” I kept playing with the fire, to avoid looking at ther. “I’m not good when it comes to emotions,” I start slowly, “when I met you, all I could think about was bending you over and fucking you. It hasn’t changed. I still picture you naked underneath me all the time,” she made a sound I couldn’t understand the meaning of, “Zar said how there is a chance you and I are mates. I practically told him to fuck off. I didn’t think I would ever get a mate.”

“And now?” her hand touched my biceps.

“I think you might be,” I confessed.

“You’re not sure?”
