“It uses vibration to remove it all in hours instead of days.”

“Oh. Right. So, it’s done?”

“Yes. Many of the females here use the device. You will still have to deal with the fluid your body has retained, but no more blood. It is a handy thing when several local species are blood sensitive.”

She swallowed and looked at the sunrise.

He made a small noise and held out his hand. She climbed back into bed with him, and he started slowly kissing her neck and shoulders. Iris moaned and shivered. Her fingers flexed in the bedding, and when he wound her hair around his fist and pressed his teeth to her neck, she moaned. When he spread her thighs, she caught her weight on her hands and vibrated with tension. He eased into her with tiny thrusts, then withdrew and slid in to the base. She felt her body wrapped in heat, and he moved faster, slowly letting her head droop back to the bed while he lifted her hips and rested on her elbows.

He thudded into her, which always edged on pain, but then the rush of warmth soothed her. After more thrusts than shecould count, she gasped as her body clenched on him, and he held himself deep while the pulsing continued.

He nuzzled his mark on her neck and whispered words that defied translation and settled into her soul. She needed to learn that language.

He dropped them both to their sides and wrapped his arms around her. “I am very glad that you made it here without any strange detours.”

She chuckled. “And two years asleep.”

“I visited you regularly and made sure you were kept safe.”

“Uh-huh. Considering you are still hard inside me, altruism was not your motive.”

He laughed, and his hands started moving. “I am hungry and haven’t gotten nearly enough from you now.”

He used all of the sensitive spots, including her fingers, before he stroked her clit and she bucked and rocked on his cock as her first climax hit her. He kept going into her fourth, fifth, and on his sixth, she shuddered. “Do you have enough?”

He kissed her jaw. “I had enough with the first.”

She gasped. “Greedy.”

He chuckled. “Happily greedy.”

He started withdrawing, and she gasped, “No, stay.”

He pushed back in deep.

She groaned and leaned back against him. “How long can we stay like this?”

“As long as you like, Irith.”

She smiled. “Good. You aren’t the only one who’s greedy.”

He laughed and held her close. “My perfect mate.”

“Yeah, It is early days, buddy.”

He chuckled. “And thousands more to come.”

Two weeks later, Lily snickered as she came into the room. “It seems your body has decided to settle on cyan. Nice.”

Iris sighed. “Yeah. At least the hair matches.”

“Which is good because it is nearly all that you are wearing.”

She flicked the thick braids back over her shoulders and flipped her sister off. “How are your studies?”

“Well, medical basics are pretty much the same around the universe. Get everything working again. The thing is to memorize the species-specific techniques. I am happy to tell you that I have passed!”

Iris lunged toward Lily, and they hugged. “Congratulations! You are a doctor. Again!”
