Maddy
Walking into work I have a new pep in my step. It isn’t until I actually walk into the room where everything happened last night that I remember that Erik and Lanie were not in a good place. “Thanks Erik. Now what needs to be done today?”
“Nothing. I was actually coming here to tell you to go home. I am taking the week off to be with my family. Go be young Maddy. Have fun. Sleep in. Hell. He turns and walks out the door leaving me stunned for a moment and not sure what to do. Then I remember that there was an old silent movie playing at the small theater in the historic district. Hmm. I pull out my cell phone and text Leif.
