“Yes, darling.”

The feeling in my heart I got each time he said that about split me in two when he reared back and plunged so deep into me, I saw stars. The feeling I’d been chasing began to crest as he did it repeatedly, not letting up for a second as I mewed around him in nonsensical words.

When I couldn’t take it any longer, I let go, the tightness in my gut erupting and flooding through my body as everything trembled before going lax. I felt Milo thrust into me a few more times before he stilled, falling to the bed beside me. I tapped him, my words slurring.

“That was… yeah…” Milo laughed as we lay there, both of us panting for breath.

“You said you loved me,” I said once my heart rate appeared to be back to normal.

“I did. I love you, Fin.”

“I love you, Milo.”

Turning my head, I found his beautiful eyes peering at me, and I smiled. I never knew I could feel so much love for people, but these guys showed me I could beyond my wildest imagination.

After cleaning up, we curled into one another’s arms, and I fell asleep feeling safe and secure, knowing that whatever tomorrow brought, I had love, which was the best feeling in the world.

RYKER

It had officially beenone month since Finley and her trio of boyfriends had arrived at The Order and into my heart. I’d thought I’d been living life, but in reality, I’d only been passing the time. It was sad to realize that the one thing you needed in your life had been right there, waiting for you to wake up and know it too.

A few days after the MKG attack, Finley, Milo, and Asa had graduated from The Order training program, along with twelve other initiates. It was one of our bigger groups to make it through, and I was proud that one of my last tasks before stepping down was to ensure the program's future. Despite all my failings and baggage, I believed in what we did here and was glad it would continue after I retired.

Now, to just capture Dex and I’d be able to sleep easier.

A tap at my office door had me looking up, and I forgot for a second where I was as I stared at the girl who’d turned my world upside down in the most splendid way.

“Hey,” I said, the word getting half stuck in my throat. I kicked my legs off the desk as I scooted in. Fin smirked at me, watching my every move. “What can I do for you?” I asked when she didn’t move.

Her smile grew wider as she stepped into the room, walking closer and swaying her hips. Her outfit was outrageous for The Order, but it worked for Fin, and it was something I was becoming to love about her style. I gathered my composure as she leaned on the desk.

“Whatcha doing?” she asked, a tease in her voice.

“Going through all the data again. I feel like I’m missing something.”

“Well, I had an idea. I’m not sure if it’s stupid or not, but I wanted to see if you’d come and look at it.”

“Absolutely.” I slid out from my desk, walking around to meet her. I placed my hand on the small of her back as we walked out together.

“How are you today? I didn’t see you at breakfast or lunch,” she asked, tilting her head to look at me.

“Sorry, I had a board meeting early this morning to update everyone on the MKG project, and my yearly physical was done.” I peered down at her, watching her face.

“Did the board have anything to add?” she asked as we stepped into the main living area. It was empty since everyone was working. I stopped, not wanting to say anything out in the hall. She paused with me, turning to look at me.

“The board is worried that if we don’t find him soon, his next attack will be even more devastating. They did a psych eval on his character to try to determine his motives. Based on everything we know, it’s more than likely he’s a sociopath with an antisocial personality disorder. This means he’s prone to strike out in a fit of rage, taking out hundreds of casualties if he’s not caught soon. We got lucky at the mall, but I don’t know if we’ll be as lucky next time unless he either gets what he wants or we find and stop him. Both of those options seem pretty hopeless at the moment.”

By the time I was done, I was holding her arms, our bodies close to one another. I hadn’t even realized I’d grabbed onto Fin, but she was becoming the life-vest I didn’t know I needed. Laying my forehead against hers, I breathed her in, calming from her smell.

“You smell good, little hacker.”

She chuckled, moving her head so she could look at me. “You do too. I always try to figure it out. There’s coffee, but there’s this fresh smell that reminds me of the rainforest.”

“Ah, yes, my shampoo probably and aftershave.”

“Hmm, whatever the combo, I like it.”
