“It will be okay. In all the years I’ve known you guys, things have had a way of working themselves out.”

Wiping my tears away, I look at Wyatt quietly cleaning up the kitchen.

“Don’t be a stranger, honey. We’ll talk to Evan. He’s doing security on set,” Tommy says, pinching my hand.

“We’re at the Union Station until the movie wraps,” Max says, kissing my forehead again.

“Thanks, guys,” I tell them, saying goodbye and closing the door behind them.

“You okay, Wyatt?” I ask, laying my hand on his shoulder.

He rakes a hand through his light-brown curly hair. “Yeah, hiding out,” he says, grimacing.

I give him a kiss on his cheek and head outside.

Frankie is sitting next to the fire still talking to Navarone.

“Alice.” Gunner tries to grab my arm but I pull my hand back. “Don’t,” I warn him. Axl pushes Gunn in the direction of the Harleys, while I stop next to Navarone.

Sterling taps my shoulder, motioning to Austin. “We’ll find Evan, make sure he’s okay.”

I nod, turning to my other best friend. “Frankie, what the hell?”

Wiping his tears away with the sleeve of his shirt, he shrugs. “Don’t know. Don’t care.”

“Frank, look at me.”

He doesn’t.

“Look at me, Frank!”

“Al,” Navarone warns.

We lock eyes, then he nods, turning to Frankie. “We know, man.” Rone’s voice is soft.

“Know what?” Frankie asks, swaying a little when he stands before swigging the last of his beer back.

“We all know about you and Evan,” Rone tells him, no judgment in his voice.

He snorts. “There is nothing to know,” he says, not looking at us.

“Frank, we know you are together,” I plead.

“We are not together, damn it!” he yells at me.

“It’s okay. No one is judging you. We want to see you guys happy,” I tell him.

“I’m not gay,” he says, trembling. “That’s not what it’s like between us.” His voice falters.

“Frank, we all know,” Navarone says, and the boys all nod from the porch.

“It doesn’t matter to us, as long as you’re happy,” Austin says.

“I am happy,” Frankie yells, his voice rising.

“No you’re not, Frank. You need to be honest for once. You owe it to yourself; you owe it to Evan,” I tell him.

Navarone takes my hand in his and I feel strong. He has my back. “You need to tell him how you feel,” Navarone offers.
