“I... can’t.”

“You can.” I moved gently, sliding up and down his entire length, feeling every inch as he entered me. I closed my eyes and leaned back, still holding his hands. Controlling every movement, I forced myself to ride him steadily, and I soon got into a rhythm that built the sensations higher and higher. Jack grew warmer beneath me, his hands gripped mine tighter, and his cock grew even harder as my blood worked its magic on his body. The sensation began to rise, and I fought not to slam down hard and fast onto his cock. The thought that I might hurt him held me back, and I kept the rhythm.

Jack twisted and bucked underneath me. It felt like being on a rodeo as he turned his hips, trying to urge me to go faster. At last, with a swift, sudden movement, he rolled over, bringing us both crashing onto the floor with him on top of me. Pinning my hands above my head, he slammed his cock deep inside, impaling me thoroughly. I cried out as he did it again and again, driving my need for him to new heights. His gentleness was gone and the beast remained, and I loved it. I called his name, even as I heard the rustle of the hatay at the door. If we were to die, then hell, I’d be happy to go this way.

He held my wrists in one hand, pressing them hard against the floor, and slid his other hand between us to rub my clit. I bucked under him, and then my climax ripped through me like a sandstorm. He didn’t stop or slow, fucking me hard all the way through, and I had barely started to come down when waves of pleasure hit me again. This time, he rode the storm with me, emptying himself deep inside my core. As he collapsed on top of me, his skin slick with a fine sheen of sweat, the door rattled.

“Hatay,” I murmured, and he raised his head, looking down at me.

He pressed his lips to mine. “I guess we’re going to go out fighting?” I nodded, and he grinned. “That’s my girl.” He got to his feet and helped me up. We felt about for our clothes, and I grimaced as I pulled the blood-soaked shirt back over my head. His was worse than mine, and I cringed.

“Sorry about that,” I murmured, gesturing at his shirt.

He ran his fingers gently over the dried blood then pulled me into his arms and kissed me. “I’m not. You’ll soon learn, my queen, my goddess, that there is nowhere I would prefer to be than between your legs and covered in your blood.” I blushed, and he kissed me again, stopping only when the door began to shake.

After passing me West’s pistol, he took out his own and checked it. “West and Zayn had all the extra weapons and ammo. I’ve not got many rounds left, and I don’t think you have either. Make them count.”

I nodded and watched as he turned and kicked out the braces he’d placed against the door. The door immediately swung open, and one of the hatay entered. With a body like a gorilla’s but a head like a lizard’s, it moved towards us, reaching its hands towards Jack’s heart.

Crack.

A single bullet hole appeared in its chest, and it crumpled slowly to the floor only to be replaced by another and then another. We took aim carefully. I only missed a couple, and within a few minutes, we were shoving our way past the fallen bodies and into the tunnel beyond. I looked up and down, and it seemed pretty clear.

Jack stared down at me. “I have no idea where to go. My memory isn’t great, and it’s been at least four thousand years since I’ve been down these particular corridors. Anything coming back to you?”

I grinned. “Only a certain little friend of mine.”

A faint miaow sounded nearby, and Jack looked down to see the kitty cat winding its way around my legs.

“Where did that come from?” Jack asked, a grin spreading across his face. I shrugged, bending down to see if the little creature would let me pick it up this time. It did, rubbing its soft head against my chin and purring as I stroked it.

“It led me here. I was in the camp, and I saw it out in the ruins. It brought me all the way to the entrance.”

Jack frowned. “That’s... weird.”

“I’m kind of hoping this little one can lead us out again,” I replied, looking down into the two small golden eyes that stared at me. The cat miaowed in response and made a move to get down. I released it, and it set off down the tunnel to our right, pausing a few metres away and looking back.

“I guess we go that way,” Jack said, looking at me.

“I guess we do.”
