“Ugh.” I rolled my eyes. “No, Daddy, but you offer me rules and consequences and you say I’ll get rewards for being good.”

“Hm.” He tilted my chin higher. “If I didn’t have a little girl to follow my rules, dish out consequences, and no one to reward and spoil, do you think I’d be as fulfilled, sweetheart?”

“Uh, I don’t know.”

“No, I wouldn’t.’” Elias kissed me. “And if Luke didn’t have two brats to keep in line and spoil, do you think he’d be as fulfilled?”

“Are you calling yourself a brat, Daddy? I’m a bit scared to agree with you.”

“Silly little thing. Yes, I’m a brat, but not to you.” He released his hold on my chin. “So, what do you have to say now?”

“The three of us fulfill each other’s needs. Those needs may not have materialistic value. They can be emotional or physical or something else. Shit.” Shaking my head, I wish I hadn’t made such poor choices yesterday. “You’re going to be really upset with me after we talk.”

“All I ask for is your honesty. I may not be happy about a choice you made, but we’ll figure it out. Now, I’m going to ask you a very simple question. What do you have to offer that you didn’t see before?”

“My submission. My obedience. My-my love.”

“Three of the most beautiful gifts anyone could ever hope to receive.”

“Thank you, Daddy.”

“You’re welcome, babygirl.”

Chapter 9

Emma

I pulled item after item out of several huge gift bags. Elias outdid himself. A dozen sweaters all in different pastel shades, tee-shirts, button-up flannels, soft jeans in multiple shades of blue, leggings ranging from solids to cute prints, several matching pajama sets, sexy bras, sexier panties as well as some more practical choices, socks in multiple styles from ankle to furry knee pairs, hair bows, headbands, hair clips, bobby-pins with flowers, stars, and hearts affixed to them, several pairs of boots plus a half a dozen pairs of slippers in a ballet style. On top of the brand-new wardrobe, Elias purchased two young-adult novel series—one about horses and the other about figure skating. I was wholly overwhelmed. No one had ever spoiled me like this.

“You gave me more clothes than I’ll wear in a lifetime, Daddy!” Beaming up at Elias, I saw so much love in his eyes as he studied mine. Huge tears welled up in my eyes from the sudden intensity.

“I just wanted you to have something of your own.” Sweeping me up from the floor, he set me onto his lap. “Give you things that would make you happy. Clothes that would make you smile.”

One more bag sat untouched next to us on the cushions. Reaching inside, I gasped. The fluffiest pink teddy-bear sat in the tissue paper and I pulled her out. “You-you got me a special teddy-bear?”

“In case I’m not home and Luke is away. I didn’t want you to be afraid again.”

“I’m confused, Daddy. You gave me all these amazing things, but you didn’t punish me yet.”

“We’ll address your punishment after lunch.” He held his hand against the back of my head, and I snuggled closer. “All of these things belong to you. These gifts are yours regardless of your behavior or if we’re together.”

Swallowing hard, I hugged my new friend to my chest. “Thank you. I love everything you bought me. I can’t express how much it means to me.”

“Good.” Elias planted a kiss on my forehead. “There’s a guest room across the hall from me. You don’t have to sleep there, but there are dressers if you’d like a place to keep your things.”

“I’ll put them up there later. Do you think you can help me carry it?”

“I’ll carry everything, but you can put it away.”

“Yay!” I bounced on his lap. “Can all three of us fit in Luke’s bed?”

“Yeah, but I don’t honestly know how you tolerate being in bed with him. After his surgery, the first week I was worried about secondary infections, so I stayed in his room. He snores louder than a buzz saw, and I woke up with bruises all over my legs from him kicking me.”

“You shared a bed with Luke, but you never got up the nerve to tell him how you felt?”

“Oh no.” Elias shook his head. “We’re not going there.”

“It must have been really hard for you to care so much and not express it, Daddy.” I laid my head against his chest. “That’s really what I was getting at. I’m sort of surprised Luke never mentioned anything.”
