“You love me?”

“Fuck yeah I do,” I reply as she settles back into my side.

“I love you too,” she says quietly, her voice sleepy.

Damn right. This is what it feels like when every move you’ve ever made brings you to the exact right place. My Angel is now my whole world.

I take the last piece of bacon out of the pan and put it on a plate with the others. I add a pad of butter to another pan, watching it melt, and pour in the scrambled eggs I already mixed up. I woke up this morning to Crews’ tongue doing magical things to my pussy and making me come twice before he made love to me, giving me a third orgasm. I’m sore, but I wouldn’t trade the pain for the world. It’s a reminder of what we shared. Now I’m happier and more relaxed than I’ve been in years and nothing could kill this buzz I’ve got going on.

“Angel, we need to tell your parents what is going on.”

Buzz. Officially. Killed. “Uh, no, we don’t. I thought you were taking care of it. There’s no need to involve them unnecessarily.” I say, starting to panic. I stir the eggs until they’re fully cooked and move them off of the heating element.

“What if he goes to your parent’s house before I can find the bastard? Do you want them to get hurt because they didn’t know what to be looking out for?” Crews asks.

I put four pieces of bread into the toaster and look at Crews. He’s got a point, but there’s something he didn’t think of. “Honey, if we tell them about my stalker, they are going to call the police immediately. I’m not talking about the run of the mill precinct either. My father will get the chief of police on the phone and demand this problem be taken care of. Is that what you want?” I ask and smile smugly, knowing involving the police will be the last thing he wants. He wants to take care of this his way, and his way isn’t legal. Last night when he told me who he worked for, I was surprised, but only for a few minutes. Everything makes sense now. Crews might not be on the up and up with the law, but he’s a good man, one I’m proud to have by my side.

“If you knew that’s what they would do, then why haven’t you talked to them sooner?” He asks, surprising the hell out of me.

The toast pops out of the toaster, so I turn my back on him and butter it, putting two pieces on each of our plates.

Crews walks up behind me and nestles his face into my neck and kisses me there, making butterflies flutter in my stomach and my cheeks heat. After everything we shared between last night and this morning, the smallest things make me tingle. “Angel, tell me why you don’t want them to know.” He murmurs.

I sigh. “They never wanted me working there, to begin with-”

“I couldn’t agree with them more.”

I jam my elbow back into his stomach and walk to the stove and scoop some scrambled eggs onto my plate and grab a couple pieces of bacon. Leaving Crews behind in the kitchen, I go to the dining room to eat, ignoring his overdramatic groans. The man is a beast, there’s no way in hell I hurt him like he’s carrying on in there. A few minutes later, he joins me with a plate of his own and sits beside me at the table.

“Angel, you’ve got such a giving heart. I know you want to save everyone, but maybe we can find you somewhere else-”

I shake my head. “No! I love working at the urgent clinic with Dr. Murray. Plus, if I didn’t work there, we wouldn’t have ever met.”

“If you insist on working there, I’m hiring security for the clinic.”

I jump up and throw my arms around his neck. “Thank you for not fighting me on this, at least not too hard.”

“How can I argue with your logic? You aren’t going back until this situation is taken care of, that I won’t budge on.”

I nod happily. “I can live with that.”

“I’m so glad you’re here, darling. Who is your friend?” Mom asks, pulling me into a warm hug.

I pull back and reach for Crews’ hand. “Mom, Dad, I’d like you to meet Crews, my boyfriend.” I turn and look up at Crews. “Crews, these are my parents Sara and Carmine.”

“Boyfriend? I didn’t know you were seeing anyone,” Mom says, looking at Crews and I standing in their foyer with the door still open.

“Sara, let them into the house. Come on in kids. Have a seat, and I’ll make us some drinks. Crews, what are you drinking?” My Dad asks with his hands-on Mom’s shoulders.
