“Bria!” he cried out. “I gave them information about her!”

I frowned as a white rage burst through my veins. “Bria?”

“What did they want to know? Who did you give this information to?”

“I don’t know.” Griffin was sobbing. “That’s all I did. Believe me, please.”

I looked over at his face, but I could tell he wasn’t lying. “Shh. I believe you.”

Shock registered on his face. “You do?” His face took on a small air of hopefulness.

“I do.” I walked over to the table and began to set up the tray as if I was about to do surgery. “Thank you for cooperating.”

He was a fool if he thought he was getting off that easy. The fact he gave information on my soon-to-be-wife was cause for instant torture and a slow painful death. There would be no mercy.

A tap on the window startled me enough to quirk my eyebrow in her direction.

What in heaven’s name could that woman possibly want now? Mercy for the man that gave up her name to the enemy?

I grabbed a knife before sticking my head in the other room, keeping the knife visible in my hand.

“What is it now, Bria?” I kept my exasperation at bay.

So help me if she pleaded for this man to get off easy, I was going to lose my shit for real.

“Can I sew his mouth shut for giving out that kind of information?” She asked quietly so that Griffin couldn’t overhear her. “This fucker almost got me killed and I’d like to do the same to him, please, sir?”

Her words in the form of a question blew me away. My dick twitched. I’d never been so turned on before.

“Uh, sure. Why not?” I opened the door for her to enter, meeting Stefano’s curious gaze.

Griffin’s eyes widened as she came into view.

“Please forgive me, Bria. I didn’t mean for you to get hurt.” He pleaded with her. “They threatened my wife and children. I had to protect them.”

“Oh, I wasn’t hurt.” The cold steel in her voice had me wanting to plead with her myself, but not for forgiveness. Instead, I wanted her to use that fire on me in the bedroom.

My cock had gotten rock hard, and I had a feeling that this time my work getting information was going to be quite a pleasure in a new way.

She walked the room, checking everything out. Her fingers delicately traced over pieces in the room. “Why didn’t you come to the family for protection… Griffin is it?” She turned to him, cocking her head in what looked to be genuine interest. “Luciano would have taken care of these guys, your family would’ve been at home safe and sound by now. And Tommy, well he wouldn’t be having surgery to remove a bullet right now. He’s been in surgery for a while now.” She bent down as if concerned for Griffin then she looked up at me, “Isn’t that right, Luciano?”

I nodded. If I hadn’t seen her determined look only moments before, I might have been worried, but she had this under control.

“I was scared, and you weren’t really part of the family yet, so I didn’t think it would make a difference.” He whimpered.

“Oh.” She bit her lip. “Well, would you like me to make it where you don’t have to worry about things like that again? I know that these kinds of decisions can be difficult to handle. I’m willing to take all that pressure off of you.” She hid the sutures in her hand, waiting on his response.

“Yes, please. I’ll do anything I can to make up for this mistake,” Griffin pleaded. “I swear you have my full loyalty. This will never happen again.”

She grabbed his face and pinched his cheeks with her hand.

“Shh, hold still, while I take all your problems away. If you don’t hold still, Griffin, then it’s going to hurt much worse and you won’t like what I do instead,” she warned. “Okay?”

The person getting sutures would normally be given a numbing agent, but we wanted this to hurt.

Stefano started to step in, but I stopped him. If she could do this, it was the best way to introduce her to the family business.

Griffin squealed in pain, but Bria was efficient and appeared to have done this before.
