Amelia Parks was having a teddy bear themed third birthday tomorrow and I had to deliver three dozen adorable bear cupcakes to her mother first thing in the morning. So far, I only had two that were even passable as bears. Three were closer to monkeys, one resembled a sad cat and the rest were brown blobs with eyes that looked like their faces were melting off. If my goal was to traumatize a group of children, then I guess I was successful.

“Hey, Lily-Bell, do we have any more turnovers?”

“No,” I gritted through my teeth. “Roe ate the last one.”

Ever since Grayson found out about my stalker, the whole Falls Security team had been stopping by the bakery at all hours of the day. If it wasn’t Grayson himself, Kane was swinging by with the excuse of his pregnant wife’s latest craving. This morning Sam had tried making small talk with me and she looked so uncomfortable, I called Grayson myself to let him know I was fine and she could leave.

Benji’s eyes widened and took in the horror scene that was our bakery’s kitchen. Dirty pans and bowls were stacked on every available surface. My prep table was covered in cupcake carnage and I was sure that I looked like I’d been murdering teddy bears for the last four hours, which I kind of had been.

“Okay, time to step away from the buttercream.” Benji unclenched my fist which had been spewing icing out of the pastry bag and pushed me backward until my knees hit a stool and I plopped down. “What’s going on?”

My shoulders slumped from pure exhaustion and I began to spill all of my problems onto my best friend. “Daisy is coming back today and I’m moving in with Grayson and why are teddy bears so hard to make? They have two eyes, a mouth, a nose and two ears, it should be easy! I made four dozen dragon cupcakes last week and those were no problem! They had teeth, scales and blew fire!”

“Slow down. Did you just say that you’re moving in with that hunky man and his precious daughter? That’s great, honey!” Benji’s exuberance for my new living situation only further annoyed me which must have shown because his smile became more of a grimace.

“I’m sensing that this is not great. Which I don’t understand because you spend every spare minute that you aren’t here, with him and you’ve talked about nothing but how excited you are that Daisy is coming home for the last week. We made her that banner and everything.”

The banner was awesome, it had silver tassels and glitter and it was already hanging in Grayson’s living room. We had plans to make her favorite dinner and I’d already prepared a chocolate cake smothered in rainbow sprinkles for dessert. I couldn’t believe how much I’d missed her sweet face over the last few weeks and I was more than ready to have her home.

“He didn’t even ask me! I woke up this morning like normal, got dressed and walked into the kitchen to make some coffee, when I stumbled over boxes.Myboxes. At some point between me falling asleep last night and waking up this morning, Grayson chose to pack up all of my things from next door and move them into his living room. Then, he didn’t even have the decency to be there for me to yell at him! Why are you laughing?”

“I’m sor—I’m sorry,” Benji bent in half, holding on to his stomach as he laughed. He stood up, wiping his eyes. “He’s a genius.”

“What? Why is he a genius?”

“Because, babe, there is no way that you would have moved in with him if he’d asked and he knew that. He took the decision out of your hands and did it for you. He knew that there wouldn’t be time for you to move everything back before you had to go to work and once Daisy came home, she’d be so excited to see you’d moved in that you wouldn’t be able to leave. See? Genius.”

My mouth opened and closed again as I processed the conclusion that Benji had come to, he was one hundred percent right. “That little shit! I’m going to strangle him!” I marched out of the kitchen amongst Benji’s continued laughter and right over to Falls Security.

Memories of the last time I’d invaded his office flitted through my mind but there was no way it was going to end as pleasurable for Grayson as the last time. Walking past the still empty reception desk, I made my way down the hallway only to find that Grayson wasn’t there. In fact, every office and the conference room were empty. What the hell?

Music steadily pumped from the door that concealed the tricked-out gym that kept them all in such amazing shape. Shit. I remembered him telling me that Fridays were usually sparring days for the team. Something about not wanting to go soft now that they had cushy desk jobs. Soft was not a word that I would use to describe anyone that worked in this office. Every last one of them looked like they belonged on the cover of a fitness magazine.

In the beginning of our relationship, I’d been incredibly self-conscious about how different my body was compared to Grayson’s. I detested working out, other than the yoga sessions with Jo, I didn’t have the time or inclination to spend my free time in a gym.

I came to realize that Grayson and his team worked hard for all those incredible muscles and they weren’t just for show. Staying in shape made them better at their jobs and less likely to get hurt.

Grayson had no problem showing me how much he liked the way my body looked which helped to alleviate my insecurities. My cheeks flushed as I remembered the way he’d worshipped every inch of me in bed last night. He’d openly praised my curves, his hands squeezing my hips and ass as he’d pounded into me from behind.

Shaking the naughty images from my head, I reminded myself why I was there. You’re angry, Lily, he was high-handed in moving your possessions into his home and you aren’t leaving until you yell at him.

My resolve from my inner pep talk disappeared the second I opened the door to reveal one of the most glorious sights of my lifetime.

Muscles, and skin, and more muscles covered in a fine sheen of sweat. Oh, dear lord, thiswas sparring? Grayson and Kane circled each other, both shirtless and breathing heavy like they’d been at this a while. Sam, Gage and Roe were standing on the edge of the mat, arms crossed as they watched the display. They all turned at my entrance but it was Sam that came to where I’d been rooted since entering the gym.

“Hi, Lily, what’s up?” Dressed in a sports bra and some of those tight workout shorts that I wouldn’t even consider, Sam looked ready for a photoshoot more than the trained badass I knew she was. Every inch of her was just as deadly as any man in this room.

At baseline Sam was a very serious person and I could tell she had a hard time trusting people. Like recognizes like and all that. Over the last few months, I’d had the chance to actually get to know her better. She would rarely eat anything from the bakery but I’d learned that she was a sucker for powdered sugar. I may have used that to my advantage to win her over by hand delivering a batch of Italian wedding cookies to the office.

“Hi, um, how long have they been doing this?” I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the display of pure male perfection in front of me. Grayson and Kane clashed together again and again, one getting the other into a hold before he would escape and they would switch places.

It was mesmerizing and I squirmed next to Sam, hoping that she didn’t notice how turned on I was getting seeing parts of Grayson on display that I was very familiar with. I knew how each one of those muscles felt under my hands, my tongue, flexing on top of me.

“Maybe half an hour? They’re both pretty competitive and equally matched in skill. It’s not unusual for the rest of us to get bored and go do something else until they finally get tired enough to give up.”

Our conversation alerted Grayson to my presence; his eyes connected with mine for a split second. It was all Kane needed to sweep his leg under him and he was flat on his back. I rushed over.

“Are you okay?” I dropped to my knees next to him, looking for injuries. His eyes were closed, palms resting on his impressive stomach as it lifted with his quick breaths.
