Two weeks later
We got married, just like that. Marie, Katie's sister, was a seamstress, and she made a dress for me in a couple of days. Katie made a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers, which I held in my hands during the ceremony.
Of course, it wasn't a traditional ceremony in a church since we are both vampires. We also couldn't invite many guests since Darius would've found out about it.
But I didn't care. I was happy. We went to the local Italian restaurant and ordered a bunch of food, talking and laughing as we ate. We had a small photo shoot with Raphael's old film camera. We had a fantastic honeymoon in a wooden cabin with no one else but squirrels and birds surrounding us.
Leonardo had to give up his everyday life because of me. He was left without a family, company, or a home. He had a lot of money in his bank account, which he could not use since Darius could track it and find us.
Leo suggested we move out and find another place to live, but Raph declined that offer, saying he was done running. My brother said he had been running only to save me, and since I'm not in danger anymore, he doesn't want to do it any longer. I feel joy when I know that my brother believes that I'm safe when I'm with my husband.
Leo says he doesn't care about his past life as long as I'm with him. I asked him once if he misses his house and old life. He said no since his home is now where I am.
I cannot believe how fast everything happened. I could never imagine someone could fall in love so quickly and so passionately.
And here I am: absolutely, over-the-top in love with a man who loves me just as much.
