"Jaxson." His name escaped her lips like a prayer as Chase stepped in front of her, a wide grin on his tanned face.

"Emma." His voice held a soulful longing as his eyes danced with desire.

"Chase." She whispered, still afraid to scare her dream away. Her heart thumped in her chest.

He moved forward, hugging her and Jax, sandwiching her between them as they had so often while they were together.

"How?" She was once again incapable of forming full sentences.

"You're the only Emma grad student TA in Econ at the University of Wisconsin."

She shook her head lightly, hoping to clear the cobwebs from her brain. "But why?"

This time the men answered in unison. "Because we missed you."

"But..."

As usual Jaxson took control of the situation, stepping out from behind her, leaving Emma in Chase's embrace to address the group of students watching with interest. "Your professor has another engagement she must attend so class is dismissed for today. Come back for the next class on Friday."

Most of the class sprang to their feet, thrilled to get the summer morning back, but Bianca and her friends sat sulking. When the lecture hall was relatively empty, Bianca stood. "This is an amazing joke, Emma. I'm surprised you'd spend money to hire these guys to pretend to be into you."

It was Jaxson who answered. "I think you're the joke. We took the next month off to try to convince Emma to go on tour with us this fall."

He glanced back at Emma, suddenly looking vulnerable. As if he didn't know how much she'd missed him since they'd parted two weeks before.

"Right. And I'm sure you're selling the Brooklyn Bridge next." Bianca wasn't buying it. "Emma couldn't get even one of you guys in a million years."

Jaxson countered her quickly. "You're right. She didn't get one of us." He paused for effect "We’re a package deal and Emma got us both. We’re a trio.” Bianca wilted under Jaxson’s dominant stare. “We couldn’t forget about her after she left. The time she spent in our bed in Paris was amazing.” When Bianca still looked skeptical, he added. “Jaxson Davidson and Chase Cartwright. Google us, sweetheart.” Sarcasm dripped with his term of endearment this time.

Bianca's laugh died when Jaxson turned to take Emma in his arms and place a sexy kiss on her lips. She melted into him and went like a wet noodle when he handed off her body to a waiting Chase who claimed his own X-rated kiss.

By the time they separated, Emma caught the sour look on Bianca’s face as she glanced up from her tablet having Googled the men. Insane jealousy turned the attractive co-ed to a shrew. She looked as if she might be sick as she realized who the men were.

Jax moved in to press his hard body against Emma’s back, the feel of his semi-hard erection poking her as the three of them held each other close, enjoying the feel of being together again. Relief they had sought her out flooded through Emma.

Jaxson took control. "Let's get out of here. We have a lot to talk to you about, baby."

"Yes, sir."

Chapter 10

Jaxson’s Journey

Jaxson's handstrembled as he pulled Emma into his arms. He breathed in the fresh apple smell of her shampoo as he tucked her against his body. Chase crowded at her back, sandwiching her between them.

His body relaxed – finally.

In the weeks since they'd let Emma walk out of their lives, Jaxson had been carrying a tension that no amount of rest or exercise had been able to relieve. He'd tried several over-the-counter pain relievers in an attempt to medicate the empty feeling away while the normally happy-go-lucky Chase had turned into a sour companion.

It hadn't been easy for the confident men to come to terms with the fact that they couldn't stop thinking about their sexy co-ed. It took even longer to admit to themselves and each other that they weren't going to be happy until they did something about it.

Jaxson was under no delusion. The chances of the three of them turning their summer fling into any kind of relationship that had sticking power were slim. Still, they had unfinished business with the curvy brunette currently crying on his shoulder and he planned on staying in Wisconsin long enough to understand exactly what that meant.

The sound of titters of laughter broke the moment, reminding him they were still in a public location. He hoped to lay low under the radar for a few weeks and getting their pictures plastered on the front page of the student newspaper wasn't a good way to make that happen.

"We need to move somewhere more private."

Emma's answer was muffled by the shirt she clung to as if she were afraid he'd disappear like a mirage. "We should go back to my house."
