“Okay then, if you sure everything is fine?” I nod, walking up to her before sliding my arms around her to hug her close.

“I love you.”

“I love you too,” she says, kissing me on my cheek before turning and making her way back to her room.

“Coffee?” I ask.

“Sure,” he replies, but continues looking out the window. I know that he’s keeping guard to make sure that no one shows up to hurt me. What kind of life are they living if they find it necessary to stand guard to keep me safe?

Bringing the coffee back, I find him still by the window, his stance relaxed but watchful. “You know, you can relax, no one is going to come here.”

“Siena, you are one of us now, you are part of the Wolverine MC pack. We live in a dangerous world—a world that is filled with motherfuckers trying to harm us. We protect those that are dear to us, it is in our DNA to protect our women and our children.”

I realize that I don’t know much about Blue’s life at all, and that’s something I need to remedy because no matter what, I’ve realized that I want Blue in my life, and even though I know there will be danger because they belong to an MC, it can’t be that bad, can it?

BLUE 15

After phoning and waking Ashley up, I have the information I was looking for. From what she says, he was going to a party tonight. Armed with the details of where the party was going to be held, I make my way there with Fang riding along beside me. All the anger’s coursing through my veins, and it’s a good thing he’s with me because I swear when I find Jim, I doubt I will be able to stop myself from killing him.

The image of my woman’s bruised arm flashes through my mind again. Her sad eyes because of Jim’s fucking unscrupulous morals squeeze at my heart. I want my woman happy—I want her to be able to live without any regrets in her life, and after her confession about what she had planned to do when she first met me, it’s clear that she was regretting her decision at the time.

I never thought that finding my mate would feel like this, like she’s a part of me. If she’s sad, then I have an unstoppable drive to try to make her happy, and if she’s hurt, it’s my right to exact revenge on those who hurt her. She’s now mine, and no one will hurt her, or they will have to deal with me.

Parking the bikes just outside the nightclub, I place my helmet on my seat, ready to make my way inside, when Fang’s grip on my upper arm stops me. “Have patience, Brother, you don’t want to go in there and make a scene.”

“I’m going to kill the son of a bitch.”

Fang tightens his hold as he shakes his head. “Think about this, Brother. I know you want to kill that asshole, but what good would it do you if you’re in prison?”

I know he’s right, but I just want to get my hands around the fucker’s throat and squeeze.

“I think we should wait for him out here, and when he gets into his car, that’s when we make our move.” I know he’s right, but I still just want to rush in there and put an end to the fucker’s life.

“He’s supposed to help the band, not only in making money but with everything else, too.” The words come out in a quiet growl as I feel the constriction in my throat—the need to roar out my anger. I’m furious that he would do something like he did, knowing that I wanted Siena, especially after I specifically told him to stay away from her. He betrayed me, and that is something I will never forgive him for.

“He’s a slimeball, and even though I would gladly fuck him up for you, I don’t want to see you behind bars. We need to do this right, be smart about it.” Fang inclines his head to the right. “See there, that’s a fucking camera.”

I glance over my shoulder to see the camera on the side of the nightclub building. The nightclub is on the outskirts of the city. There are no other buildings around, but the nightclub seems to have cameras, cameras that I didn’t notice in my state of rage. To confront Jim, I will have to do it on his way home, where I can stop him and there will be no witnesses.

“Fine, what’s your plan?” I know that I’m in no condition to plan this confrontation because the minute I see him, I will want to rip his throat out.

“First, is his car here?”

“Yeah, I saw it when we drove up. It’s the black BMW convertible at the entrance.”

Fang nods “Well then, we know he’s here. We leave, find a desolate area which he has to drive through to get into the city, and stop the fucker.”

“Fine, let’s do this, because knowing that asshole, he will be leaving soon.”

Fang lets go of my arm to get back on his bike. A few minutes later, we’re riding away, scouting the road back to the city until we find a break in the trees at the top of a hill that allows us to see the road. This will be the perfect spot to stop Jim and make him realize that he made a mistake when he decided to play God with my life.

We hide the bikes as we prepare to wait for the asshole to make his way towards us. “I will shoot his tires; you can do the rest.”

“I don’t have my piece with me,” I grunt. When I’m in the city, I only use my piece when I ride alone. But last night, because I was at the show and then interrupted at the Elementals show, I didn’t have time to go and pick up my forty-five because I was in a hurry to get back to Siena. I prefer hand to hand fighting anyway, but in our type of life, we need the weapons because bastards think they can attack us just because they’re power hungry.

I never really liked Jim, but he’s good at what he does, and he knows how to make us money. I know that we would be paid much higher if it wasn’t for me always stopping Jim from some of the promotions that he wanted us to do. The rest of the band and myself are in this for the music and not so much for the money. Yes, it’s nice to know that you’re well loved by your fans and that you are sought out by people who the music means something to, because that’s who we do it for, our fans, not the money.

Money is just nice to have, and now that I have Siena, my bouts of leaving my pack for the show life is over. I don’t need the music any longer to quiet my restlessness.
