“Damn, where is my phone when I need it,” Lee Ann mutters as she stares at the men.

“Umm, do they do this a lot?” I ask, staring at the men as they make their way towards us. Damn, there isn’t an ounce of extra fat on any of them. Even Goliath, that is bigger than the others, is muscular all over, and my goodness, they are all very well endowed. Just when I thought they were coming to us, they stop; only now do I realize that there is a pile of clothes near the edge of the field.

I see all the men sliding their jeans on but none of them put their T-shirts on, which is fine with me but confusing, that is until Dixon looks over at our group and waves at us.

“Are you ladies just going to stand there staring at us all day or are you going to join us?” he teases.

“I personally could just stand here and stare the whole day,” Onyx quips, which has Alaska laughing.

“I heard that Onyx,” one of the men says.

This has Onyx groaning and muttering under her breath about damn wolves. I step into the clearing with the sweet smell of the blossoms as we walk through them filling the air, bees buzzing around as they suckle on their sweetness. When I’m nearly by the men, Blue makes his way towards me, his torso gleaming in the sun. My eyes lower to his side to see the scar is already looking much better and isn’t such an angry red color anymore.

When he reaches me, his arms snap around my waist as he pulls me tight against his body. “Missed you,” he mutters before his lips are crashing down on mine. I slide my arms around his neck, kissing him back with all the pent-up passion that he builds within me.

“Okay, okay, love birds, I have people to see and places to be and all of that. So, get a move on, you have all the time in the world afterwards.”

I lean back to look over at a man standing a few feet away.

“Siena, that asshole is Gunner.”

Gunner winks at me and grins

“And this is Hunter, my mate,” Dakota calls out from where she’s standing next to a man that is kissing her neck as she speaks. “That guy there with Onyx, is Hawk.” I see the man that Dakota is pointing at standing with his hands on his hips, a scowl on his face as he looks at Onyx.

“And this stud over here is Dash,” Alaska calls out.

“Welcome, Darling,” Dash greets as he slides his arm around Alaska’s waist to pull her closer to him.

“Seeing as we’re all here, let’s do this,” King says as he starts making his way towards the center of the clearing.

“What are we doing?” I ask as I see everyone following King.

“My initiation,” Blue says as we follow the others. I notice that everyone is standing in a circle. When we reach the others, Blue stops next to Goliath and Frost. “Stay here,” he says, kissing my forehead before he turns and joins King in the middle.

“You need to take your shoes off,” Goliath says from behind me. Surprised, I look around to see that everyone has got their shoes off. The men stand without shirts on and the women stand before their mates. I don’t see Lee Ann. Looking around, I catch a glimpse of her, standing a couple of feet away from the circle, watching what is happening curiously.

“Blue, we’re here to celebrate your bond to Siena. Do you agree that Siena is your true mate?” Blue’s gaze connects with mine and holds it as he replies, “Yes, she is.”

“As your mate, you are to protect and care for her, and make sure that your bond is a happy and fulfilling one.” King turns towards me, his eyes intense as if he sees right through me. “Siena, do you agree that Blue is your mate?”

My heart is racing. This feels a lot like a wedding ceremony. It might not be as formal, but it is clearly a bond that is formed before everyone that they take very seriously. Looking back at Blue, I see his intense blue eyes on me. The man that I once thought was a complete asshole, turned out to be everything that I ever dreamed of. This life of his might be dangerous, but now that I know him, know his touch, his words, and his kisses. I can’t see myself without him, I can’t see myself returning to the desolate life that I was living.

“Yes, I do.”

I see Blue’s muscles ripple as he flexes his shoulders.

“Blue, kneel,” King orders, which has me glancing at King in surprise. Does he anoint him or something? Blue kneels before King and then I gasp as King bends forward and I see him going for Blue’s throat. I start to rush forward only to be stopped by Goliath who stands in front of me.

Looking up at him, I see him shake his head. “This is our way.”

His words make me pause, but my stomach is in knots at the image of King biting Blue. I take a step to the side so I can see what’s happening and I’m just in time to witness King stand with his lips coated in blood—Blue’s blood. Raising my hand, I cover my mouth, my eyes snapping to Blue when I see him stand and throw his head back, a growl deep in his throat.

He’s a sight to watch as all his muscles ripple in the sunlight, his arms stretched out behind him. When he stops growling, he straightens his head. His eyes open, showing me a stormy blue that clashes with mine and hold. “Mine!” he suddenly roars, and then he’s closing the distance between us, his breathing shallow, his eyes wild.

Goliath moves back to where he was standing before, just as Blue stops in front of me, our eyes locked on each other.

I nod. “Yes, yours.” I don’t know if I’m supposed to talk or not, but I want Blue to know that I have accepted him fully. He might not be like me, or like anyone I ever imagined was real before, but he’s my new reality.
