“This is a dangerous life that we live, but I promise you that I will do everything in my power to keep you and our child safe.” His promise sounds choked as if he’s trying to hold back his emotions.
“I know you will, I trust you completely.” He raises his hand, placing his thumb under my chin he raises my head until I am looking up at him.
“I am the luckiest motherfucker in having you for my mate, you fought your way to me, and for that I will be forever grateful.” Lowering his head, he kisses me with such gentleness that I feel tears fill my eyes.
Even when I was a child, Fang was always there to try and make my life better, worried that others were bullying me. He says that I fought my way to him, but he continuously fought the others for me. When I think of Fang, I think of home, he has always been my home, and even though our lives are turbulent at the moment we have each other, and that is all that we can ask for at a time like this.
“The women are going to be so surprised when I tell them.” I say when he raises his head, I’m so glad to have all of them here with me, they have become true friends, friends that will be there for life. I see now with Dakota and her beautiful little baby how much support all of us give her. That is a true pack, a true family.
“We will have to get the doctor that checked Dakota to come and see you, I’m going to ask Hunter.” Fang says suddenly as he steps back, “Yeah, that’s what I need to do.” He says as if speaking to himself, he turns to make his way towards the door.
“Umm…Fang!” I call as he reaches the door, he stops looking back at me. “It’s past midnight, the doctor is going to be sleeping. Maybe you can call tomorrow morning. Also,” I point at him moving my finger up and down as a smile breaks across my face. “you’re naked, I think Dakota will have a fright if you barge into their room like that.”
I see his surprised look as he looks down at himself, and then grunts. I can’t help the grin that spreads across my face. “You enjoying this aren’t you?” he mutters as he walks back towards me.
Opening my arms I slide them around his waist, “It’s going to be okay; I promise.” I say.
