“You’re a beautiful woman, Steph,” he murmured softly, “beautiful and desirable. You’re also challenging and difficult, but wonderfully submissive. That’s an intoxicating combination.”

Goosebumps pricked her skin.

He slowly lowered his face close to hers.

Barely breathing and her heart suddenly thumping, she closed her eyes.

His lips brushed hers.

Lightly pressed.

Glided.

Pressed again.

Her knees grew weak.

As if knowing the effect he had on her, he held her tightly around her waist.

With every nerve in her body sparking, she moved her arms around his neck and fervently returned his kiss.

“Before we leave, I’ll be bringing you something special to wear,” he whispered, breaking their kiss and moving his lips to her ear. “It’s all you’ll have on, except a coat.”

“Can you tell me what it will be?” she breathed, sinking against him, desperately wanting to be naked with him stretched out on his bed.

Ignoring her question, he closed his fingers around her hair, tugging back her head and roughly devouring her neck, then abruptly moved his lips back to hers in a crushing, demanding kiss. As waves of pleasure tingled through her body, she was sure he’d sweep her up and carry her to the bed. But he pulled back, the hint of a smile curling his lips.

“You must be cold in that thin tee-shirt,” he muttered, sliding his hand from around her waist and running his palm across her puckered nipples. “You need to get inside.”

“I hadn’t noticed,” she said honestly, leaning against him as he guided her back into the bedroom and slid the door closed.

“As soon as the sun starts dipping below the mountain the temperature drops fast. Especially this time of year. Check if there’s a sweater in that bag the boys brought back for you.”

Though she didn’t want to leave him, and her legs felt wobbly, she made her way to the sports bag sitting on a chair across the room. Glancing back, she watched him amble to the fireplace and bring it to life with the push of a button on the wall.

“This will soon warm things up,” he remarked, catching her eye.

Not sure how to respond, she returned her attention to the bag. Finding one of her favorite sweaters, she gratefully pulled it over her head, but as she started walking back to him, a thought crossed her mind.

“Marco, what about dinner? How can I wear a coat in a restaurant?”

“Change of plan. We won’t be eating at a restaurant. I’ll feed you at the club, and when I say I’ll feed you, I mean literally. You’ll be tied up.”

Unable to stop a soft moan leaving her lips, she leaned against him and closed her eyes, hating but loving the bizarre roller coaster ride she found herself on.

“In a few minutes we’ll have a bite to eat, then you’ll take a long, hot, foamy bath,” he said softly, wrapping her up. “You’ll find bath gel in one of the cabinets beneath the counter. While you’re soaking, think about all the decadent things that might happen tonight. When you come out of the bathroom, the corset will be waiting on the bed. You’ll dress, then stay here until I come and get you. Any questions?”

“No, except, uh, why are you being like this?”

“Like what?”

“Kinder. Not so, uh, tough.”

“What’s that old saying? Going with the flow?”

“But you seem so different.”

“Everyone has different sides to them, Steph. You’re crazy smart, but you do some very foolish things.”
