“I kept hoping he’d relax a bit. He’s so fucking demanding, but it’s okay. I know this film is Oscar material and they don’t come along every day,” she replied, then sitting next to him, she looked at him with wide eyes. “Stewart, there’s something I want to ask you.”

“I’m listening.”

Suddenly leaning into him, she pressed her breasts against his arm and began moving her face close to his.

“Jennifer, if you have a favor to ask, just tell me what it is,” he said brusquely, quickly standing up.

“Stewart,” she murmured, hastily rising to her feet and circling her arms around his neck, “I’m crazy about you. I know you’re married, but you work such long hours and live all the way out in Malibu. While you’re here, I want to take care of you.”

As she started to unbuckle his belt, her mouth touched his, and she attempted to slide her tongue between his teeth.

“Stop,” he said, pushing her away.

“Are you sure?” she breathed, placing her hand against his semi-stiff cock.

Gulping, he stepped back and grabbed his briefcase, almost stumbling in the process.

“I’m flattered, but yes, I’m married and I adore my wife.”

“Oh yeah? Then why are you getting hard.”

“Biology,” he snapped. “You just spent time with Terry Hardcastle, and I know you weren’t talking. Why are you doing this?”

“Because I really do want you,” she replied testily, as if he had just asked a ridiculous question. “I’ve wanted you since I signed with BAM. We’d be brilliant together.”

“Jennifer, I’m going to pretend this never happened, and if you’re smart, so will you,” he said firmly, then stepped from the trailer, hurried across the sound stage and walked outside.

As the cool morning air hit him, he took a deep breath, then strode across to his car. Throwing his briefcase in the back seat, he settled behind the wheel and started the powerful engine. While Jennifer’s ardent attack had been unexpected, it had been a wake-up call. His business was hugely successful, but was it at the expense of his marriage?

A sudden thought hit him.

Was Stephanie missing him as much as he was missing her?
