“You haven’t seen them?” Gavin asked with true horror on his face.

I shrugged. “I’m sure my dad and Spencer watched them at some point, but I don’t remember ever seeing them.” I swear Gavin’s eye twitched. “But I’m happy to watch them now.”

“You can’t start with the originals. You need to start with episode one,” Vince argued.

“No, you watch them the way they were created,” Sky argued.

Gavin was still too stunned to settle the debate.

I turned to Luca and Noah. “Does it matter?”

Luca shrugged. “Do you know who Luke’s father is?”

I nodded. “Yeah, I think everyone in the world has heard that line.”

“Then it doesn’t matter. That was the biggest reveal in cinematic history at the time or something. There’s no way to get around all the common knowledge of the series that’s just a part of pop culture,” Noah pointed out.

“Then let’s just go with the way they came out in theaters.” I hoped that would end the fight.

Sky shot Vince a victorious look before putting the movie into his laptop and attaching Noah’s projector. Once it was all set up and the movie appeared on the wall, all chatter stopped, and they turned their attention to the movie.

I almost wanted to get up and dance just to see if they would even notice. It was like they'd been mentally sucked into the movie while their bodies sat lifeless around me.

“Anyone want more?” I asked quietly but received no response. Fine then. I stood and went to the kitchen to grab a few more wings. I expected at least one of them to notice I left, but not a single head turned as I resumed my position.

I tried to get into the story. Really, I tried, but it was hard to simply enjoy it when it was one of the most hyped-up movies of all time. I felt like I already knew what was going to happen and couldn’t find it in me to get excited, not that any of them noticed.

Two hours later, I had a new appreciation for Leia but wasn’t in any rush to see the next eight movies. The idea alone was exhausting.

“So? What did you think?” The excitement in Gavin’s eyes made me lie. I couldn't disappoint him.

“It was great.” I forced enthusiasm I most definitely did not feel.

“Lie,” Sky fake coughed the word.

“Want to watch the next one?” Gavin asked, oblivious to my disinterest.

“Why don’t we watch it later right before we’re ready to go to sleep?” That way, I could close my eyes without offending any of them.

“Good idea.” He smiled and stood to collect plates.

Vince helped him clean up while Sky stood and stretched before tugging off his shirt. I laughed, used to his naked chest.

“Couldn’t take it a moment longer?” I smiled up at him.

He ran his hands through his hair, messing it up before dropping them to his sides. “No way.”

We decided to wear sweats or pajamas over since we were planning on lounging around for as long as possible. I should have known that would mean most of them would have their shirts off at some point. Sky was more comfortable with the less clothing he wore. I was actually impressed he made it this long.

“What should we do now?” Luca asked.

Gavin and Vince came back into the room and watched me with matching grins.

“Truth or dare!” Sky shouted, and they burst out laughing.

Noah shot them a confused look, and Luca shook his head.

“Nothing illegal,” I said, and Sky narrowed his eyes at me before spinning to face Gavin and Vince.
