I went to the pantry to find ingredients when arms flung around me, and I smelled Sky’s mix of soap and spice. He nuzzled my neck, and I tilted my head as he planted little kisses from my ear to my shoulder and back up.

“I feel like I haven’t held you in years,” he said against my skin.

I turned in his arms and felt his desire press against me through his thin shorts. I licked my lips, trying to contain my reaction.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down to me and kissed him. I released the worry and tension and the constant flow of questions I had in my mind at any moment and relinquished them in favor of the peace his touch brought. Peace and excitement. There was always a level of anticipation when I was around Sky. I never knew if he was about to rip his shirt off, jump off an object, make a joke, or be sweet and gentle.

The not knowing made it thrilling.

His hands pressed against my back, dragging down until he grabbed my ass and squeezed. He moaned, and I pressed against him and sighed.

I wanted this. I wanted him.

The realization made me gasp.

He stepped back with a satisfied smirk. “I missed you too.” He kissed my forehead while reaching over me for the pancake mix.

I was frozen in place while he went back to the kitchen. I felt his want and wasn’t scared or intimidated. I had actually wanted him too.

I closed my eyes, and the memory of seeing him in all his naked glory on the cruise immediately popped up. I hadn’t forgotten a single detail.

That. The memory made me flush. I’d been so scared at the time and now. I wanted that. Him. All of him.

I exhaled slowly and was about to step out when Gavin blocked the doorway. His eyes ran over me, twice, before his lips spread into a slow smile. “Having good dreams again?”

I narrowed my eyes. “No.”

“Oh, right, you’re only doing it in real life now.”

I shoved past him, making him laugh as I crossed the space to the fridge and stuck my face inside to cool down.
