“Sky, I swear that nothing’s wrong.”

His left brow twitched.

“Did I lie?”

He shook his head. “No, but I can tell it’s not the whole truth either.”

I sighed. “The only thing that’s not good right now is this whole Juliet thing. Once we can prove what she’s doing, we can move on. I’m not exactly looking forward to hurting my dad, either.”

“I’m sorry, Ave. This sucks.”

“It does.”

He reached over and took my hand. “You promise, there’s nothing else?”

I smiled, not holding back the reaction I had any time I thought about the night before. “I promise.”

“Then what’s that smile for?” he teased.

“Things are good. Outside of that drama, I’m really happy.”

He grinned. “Because of us?”

I met his eyes and nodded. “Yeah, because of you.”

“More dreams?” He wagged his brows, and I burst out laughing.

“I knew I would regret telling you about that.”

He kissed my cheek. “Too late. I will never, ever forget it.”

I shook my head and stood, and he followed me back in. Gavin caught my eye the second I returned, and I could see the question he wanted to ask. I gave a tiny nod, hoping he understood things were fine and I didn’t share our secret. He turned back to Noah.

Someday, this wouldn’t be a problem. I could make it through until then. Without rushing or going crazy.

Vince stretched, revealing the bottom few inches of his abs, and I nearly drooled.

I blamed CeeCee and Gwyn for getting in my head. It wasn’t necessarily like they were making me do anything. No, it was more like they gave me the permission I’d been waiting for to go ahead and make my wants known. I didn’t have to hide how much I wanted them. They were mine. My boyfriends. Mine to touch and kiss and hold. The only thing holding me back before was me.

Last night had been beyond what I expected—so much better than the dream that had me blushing for days.

My eyes trailed down Gavin’s back, and memories of dragging my nails across his skin flooded into my mind.

Yeah, reality was so much better.
