“Tails. Noah, you win.”
Luca’s shoulders slumped, and I patted his back. He draped his arm over my shoulders, and I wrapped my arms around his waist.
“Vince and Sky.” Gavin waved them over.
“Sky, you call,” I said.
“Tails,” he said confidently.
Gavin flipped and caught the coin, then held out his palm. “Tails.”
“Sweet.” Sky grinned at Vince, who rolled his eyes and walked toward me. I opened my arm, and he stepped next to me so I was between the two pouting losers.
“Noah and Sky,” Gavin said.
“Noah calls,” I announced.
“Heads,” he said, and Gavin flipped then held out his palm.
“Heads,” Gavin confirmed.
“Yes,” Noah turned and winked at me.
“Dammit.” Sky grumbled.
“Okay, Ave and Noah, you guys will have to figure out whose apartment she’s going to and try to get in place in case she comes. The team tailing her will let you know if she does.”
“Got it.” Noah nodded.
“Luca and Vince, you guys will go to the other address and try to figure out what it is, and we’ll give you a heads-up if she goes there as well,” Gavin continued. “Sky, you and I will follow her.”
“Can’t wait,” Sky said sarcastically.
“Hopefully, it only takes one day to get enough evidence of what she’s up to,” Luca said. “Everyone focus and keep your guard up.”
“Yes, sir.” Noah saluted.
“Do you guys want us to drop you off or do you want to have a car?” Gavin asked me and Noah.
I shrugged. “You can drop us off in the area. We can walk around and scope it out.”
“Yeah, we’ll probably end up finding a place to sit and watch for most of the day, so we’ll drive with you.”
Gavin turned to Luca and Vince. “And you guys?”
“We’ll drive separately,” Luca answered. “Just in case.”
I didn’t like the sound of that, but none of the guys seemed concerned, so I stayed quiet as we went outside and loaded into the cars.

Noahand I walked the block three times before deciding to sit on a bench across the street and down a bit from the main entrance of the apartment building. It was too large to have a resident list with individual buzzers. No, there was a doorman and lobby we’d have to get past to take a closer look. Noah said if we had even a guess at who lived here, we could pretend to have a delivery and ask the doorman for the right apartment number, but we didn’t have any idea who might live here.
We watched people on both sides of the street for anyone who looked even slightly familiar, but for all we knew, this could be where her parents lived. I didn’t know what they looked like. Or her therapist or personal trainer or hairstylist. The possibilities were endless. Maybe it was a friend from the office she came over to have wine and watch a movie with a few times a month.
It was frustrating not having the slightest clue what we were looking for.
Noah shifted and pulled his phone from his pocket. “Gavin said it looks like she’s heading here. They’re about four minutes away.”
