What was the likelihood all of them would be worried about their families going missing or already missing? It was too soon to assume the council had to do with Niall’s brothers, but maybe the most obvious answer was the right one.

He glanced up at me and swallowed. “Mine is different. It’s not about my family or anything dangerous. It feels––”
“Just as important.” Kaden cut in.
Sai nodded. “Okay, I feel like you all deserve to know this since we’re bonded and share a living space.”
I held my breath, waiting for him to continue. This felt huge.
He looked at me like he was pleading with me for something, but I didn’t understand. Finally, he spoke. “I don’t think I’m entirely straight.”
