“May I have a hug?” I asked him.

He smiled and finally came out of his room and opened his arms. I wrapped myself around him, clinging to him like a monkey as he struggled to carry both of us over to the couch.

“Sai pile!” Theo screamed before jumping on us.

“Wait!” Kaden landed next.

I couldn’t see Niall, but there was too much of a delay for him to be coming.

“Don’t ruin this!” I called out.

“No,” he replied.

“Don’t worry, I’ve got him.” Kaden’s weight disappeared, and a moment later I heard Niall let out a string of curses. Then we were nearly crushed into their bodies.

“Yay! The Sai pile is complete!” Theo cheered next to my ear.

Sai chuckled, and I kissed his cheek. “No more hiding.”

He turned his head, and our lips collided. It wasn’t intentional, at least not on my end, but it was happening. So, I took advantage and kissed him back.

“No!” I was screaming over and over again, pulling away from arms wrapped around my waist. “Let me go!”

Tears were streaming down my face.

I had to get to him.

“No! Please!” I screamed, but the grip never loosened.

I saw him. His limp form. Cuts all over his body. His eyes were closed. His chest wasn’t rising.

My body collapsed. I couldn’t go on. Not anymore. He was gone. He was dead. There was no way I could live without him.

“Saige, we have to go. We have to run.” Sai screamed in my ear, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t go without him.

“Theo!” I cried his name.

“He’s gone. Saige, we need to go!” Sai pleaded with me to stand and move.

My heart was broken. Shattered. Beyond repair.

How could he be gone? My strong, sweet Theo?

How could they take him from me?

“We’ve got to get out of here!” Kaden screamed and lifted me into his arms. He ran after Sai, holding me to his chest while I sobbed.

I gasped, and Sai pulled away.

“Get off us!” he screamed, and in an instant, the guys were gone, staring down at us.

“Saige? What happened? What’s wrong?”

I glanced around and realized it wasn’t real. It was a vision. It didn’t have to happen.

“Nothing.”

Kaden shook his head. “No. No secrets, remember. What did you see?”
