She made a strange half choking, half gasping sound while shaking her head. “He’s the strangest person I’ve ever met.”

I crossed my arms, more than ready for this to be over.

“What about the others?”

“The others?” If she was freaking out over Theo, she would die when she found out the rest.

“Yeah, are they at least treating you right?” She wiggled her shoulders and brows as if I needed help to understand her meaning.

“No.” If the hallway wasn’t completely empty now, I would have willed myself to melt into the floor. At least it was only Hannah. She wouldn’t judge me. She might judge the guys though.

“Wait.” She put up her hand, closed her eyes with a deep breath, then stared at me. “Are you telling me that you live with four incredibly hot men who you are bonded to, and not a single one of them has––”

“I’ve only kissed two of them.” I cut her off before she could get too graphic. “Kaden and Theo.”

And that was the moment her brain imploded.

She didn’t move. Didn’t blink. She stood there with her brows pulled together in intense concentration.

Finally, she shook her head. “I’m sorry. I thought you just said you’ve only kissed two of your bond pairs.”

“That’s right.”

“You haven’t even kissed Sai? Or Niall? What is going on in that apartment?”

“Um, well, I was in a coma for nine days, and since I got back, we just study a lot.”

“No.” She shook her head over and over. “No. Nope. This is not right.”

I reached out and caught her elbow as she turned. “Where are you going?”

“To talk sense into your guys!”

“No, please. Things are already so awkward.”

“Yeah, because there’s all these hormones and pheromones and desires filling the air, and no one is doing anything about it!”

She stomped down the hall, and I trailed behind only partially opposed to her saying something. As long as she didn’t make a scene that drew the attention of our classmates, I didn’t mind her asking the questions I couldn’t.

She only glanced over her shoulder once to make sure I was following as we got to the dining hall. Instead of going through the food line, she went directly to our tables.

“You guys have got to be kidding me,” she declared as she slapped her hands on the table and glared at Kaden, Theo, and Sai. Niall wasn’t there, and I didn’t see him sitting in his old spot either.

“What did we do?” Kaden gaped while she slipped in between Daniel and Malik across from the three targets. I stood awkwardly until Travis noticed and made space for me next to him.

“What’s going on?” he whispered.

“Just watch.” I stayed tucked behind him, just in case things got ugly.

Sai leaned forward so the rest of the room wouldn’t hear. “What are you talking about, Hannah?”

She glared them down. “You guys have been bonded with Saige, correct?”

They nodded while sharing confused looks.

“You live with her, correct?”

They continued bobbing their heads.
