“All yours,” Theo called as he stepped out with a towel wrapped around his waist, making the other three look at me.

Shit.

“Thanks,” I mumbled and headed over. He brushed past me, intentionally rubbing his wet chest against my arm as he kissed the top of my head.

The gesture should have made me feel better. These were my guys. I had nothing to hide from them. We were bonded, basically married. It wasn’t like I could stop showering while we were here. Either I showered or took a bath, which would only draw more attention.

Get over it.

This wasn’t a big deal.

One. Two. Three.

I tugged off my shorts and underwear in one motion, then lifted my tank over my head and practically leaped into the shower as if it provided any cover.

I turned on the tap, getting blasted directly in the face with cold water.

“Ah!” I screamed, trying to reach up to divert the stream, but I couldn’t reach.

I stepped back and nearly slipped on the slick, wet floor.

“Here.” Niall opened the door and tilted the shower head down, so it wasn’t attacking me.

“Thanks.” I fought the urge to cover myself, but his eyes never strayed from mine.

He grinned and stepped out, closing the door. I peeked out of the corner of my eye as I reached for the shampoo, but none of them paid attention to me. Theo was brushing his hair, Sai was washing his face, Niall went back to the bedroom, and Kaden was in the closet.

This wasn’t a big deal. It was normal. We were a family getting ready for the day. Nothing sexual about it.

I could do this.

Without me having to say a word, my guys knew exactly what I needed. We’d gotten to a level in our relationship I never thought we’d reach. I just wanted it to last.

Chapter 5

The guys had never looked more out of place or so uncomfortable. I took Kaden and Sai’s hands. At least try to look like we're having fun.

Everyone is staring at us,Sai complained.

They haven't even made the announcement yet, and they already know that we don't belong, Kaden said as his eyes ran back and forth over the crowd.

It was the Alpha’s birthday party, and we'd been told we would attend—not that we were invited or that if we wanted to come, we could.

There was no debate. This was how the Alpha wanted to announce our presence and make us known to the rest of his pack. Maybe he thought if he did it at a birthday party, people would be in a good enough mood to ignore the fact that he let into their homes a bunch of hybrids and a bond so large it hadn’t existed in centuries.

It wouldn’t work.

There are too many people here, Niall said as he put his after he put his hand on the curve of my neck where it met my shoulder, connecting himself to our link.

That's what I said,Sai whined.

Does anyone else get the feeling that we're being watched?Theo stood close enough to touch elbows as if it wasn't already completely obvious we were avoiding everyone else.

Wolves could communicate telepathically, so it probably wasn't a long shot for them to guess that's what we were doing.

The party had been going for about half an hour. The Alpha made his way through the crowd, shaking hands and giving hugs, with Gloria by his side. My uncles circulated through the crowd as well. Even Nancy took part, leaving the five of us to stand awkwardly on our own while the pack threw us curious glances. Not that I could blame them.

No other people our age were there since they sent all of their kids to the Academy as well—although only two of them were there right now. A first and the third year I'd never heard of. Not only did we stand out for being the only teenagers, but we're all new faces.
