With a smirk of her own, she grabbed his hips, pulling him forward until he stumbled. His body smashed against hers, smearing come across both their chests.

“Looks good on you too now.” She grinned like a fucking nymph.

Playfully he smacked her on her bare ass, enjoying the surprised squeal that came from her throat. “Get the shower started. I’ll order food.”

As she started the shower, he snatched a towel from the rack in the bathroom, then wiped off his chest.

From the giant mirror on the bathroom wall, he watched her test the water then step under the spray. How would she feel about him tomorrow? Would they leave this hotel and go back to raising their daughter together but separate? Or would she realize they could be a true family?

Picking up the phone, he dialed room service. He didn’t need to ask Cassie what she wanted to eat. His entire life he’d shared meals with her. Give him a menu anywhere, and he could pick out what she’d order. Most days, he knew the woman’s thoughts before she did. So how had he missed that she hadn’t had sex since their night together? How had he not known he’d ruined her just as effectively as she’d ruined him?

After he placed the order, he hurried back to the bathroom. Through the shower door, he could make out her curves silhouetted in the fogged glass of the shower door. His fingers itched to trace each dip and turn. When he opened the glass door, she had her back to him. Water streamed from the end of her hair, down her spine to disappear between the firm globes of her ass. He stepped in behind her, placing his hand on her hip. At first, she tensed, then relaxed into his touch. With a smile on her face, she turned and slid her hands up his chest and around his neck, pressing her warm, wet breasts against his chest. Had a woman ever melded so perfectly to him? Sliding against him, she lifted on her tiptoes to kiss his lips firmly. He ran his hands up her back, over smooth, wet skin to twine his fingers in her silky hair. She deepened the kiss.Damn the woman could kiss. Somehow she mixed sweet and sultry just with the press of those plump lips. He pulled her bottom lip between his teeth. For years, he’d had to watch her bite that lip and pretend the gesture didn’t make him hard every damn time. Now he’d bite it and see how she reacted. When he nipped her, she gasped. Quickly, she recovered then moaned and slipped her tongue into his mouth. Despite the two intense orgasms he’d already experienced, he wanted her again. Not only wanted her but was fully aroused and ready to take her. He pressed her back against the tiles, sliding his hands over her slippery body. She scraped her fingernails over his ass. As she pulled him closer, his dick slipped between her thighs.

When she glanced down at where he nudged against her, he whispered, “I’m sorry. I promise. I can control myself.”

She leaned forward to kiss his chest. “You don’t have to.”

“I don’t want to hurt you.” He slid his dick back and forth between her thighs, as he bent to kiss her neck. “And I left all the condoms in the bedroom.”

“I’m on better birth control now,” she whispered into his ear.

He froze, lifting his head to study her.

“I’d been sick last time and the antibiotics —”

He kissed her lips. He knew. She’d explained when she told him she was pregnant with Ellie, between apologizing and assuring him he could walk away. Only, he could never walk away from either of them.

“I don’t care.” He confessed against her lips. He didn’t care if she was on better birth control or no birth control. If Cassie would agree, he’d have a hundred babies with her.

“I just mean, if you want, we don’t have to—”

In one slow glide, he entered her. Her eyelids fluttered. Forcing them open, she kept his gaze as he pushed in, unwavering until he’d buried every inch of himself inside her. He didn’t move, just held himself still as he searched the blue depths of her gaze. Over the years, there had been times when Cassie hadn’t told him the truth. But her eyes had never learned to lie to him. Sure, right now, she was scared, but she was also hopeful. He opened his mouth ready to tell her this was more than one night, that he’d lied and everything had changed for him. He wanted to tell her he loved her.

“Room service.” Followed by a bang on the door.

He jerked to attention. “Shit.”

“Do we have to get that?” Cassie mumbled, rotating her hips.

He slid in and out of her again. No, they didn’t have to get it. He could live off nothing but her mouth and that sweet treat between her thighs for the rest of his life.

“Room service.”

Letting out an irritated puff, Cassie thumped her head against his chest. “They’re not going to go away, are they?”

“I could go beat them up,” he offered.

When she laughed, the muscles of her vagina tightened around him. Nothing had ever felt better.

She kissed his chest. “But you’d still have to leave. We might as well eat.”

He sighed and pushed inside her once more, before slowly sliding out. He’d never be able to use a condom again. Not with Cassie’s warm, soft wetness fresh in his mind. He kissed her on the forehead and stepped out of the shower. He’d feed her, then he’d fuck her. If he only had one night, one Christmas, to convince her to spend the rest of her holidays with him, he couldn’t waste a minute.

Chapter Fourteen

Below the silent hotel room, the city didn’t sleep. At the window, Cassie watched both pedestrian and vehicular traffic creep by. She’d been right to insist she and Ryan not spend this night together at either of their homes. At first, she’d thought meeting him somewhere neutral would help her relax and lower her inhibitions. Now, she was glad she wouldn’t be reminded of this night when she returned to her home. She could look at her front door without remembering Ryan entering her that first time just inside the hotel room. She could sleep in her bed without remembering him above her, hammering into her or the sight of his head between her thighs. She could wash in her own shower without thinking of the way his gaze darkened when he slid inside her bare.

God, who was she fooling? This hotel wouldn’t help. She’d never do anything again without remembering every second of this night.
