Pushing open the door, she resisted the urge to grab the front of his shirt and haul him inside. Luckily, she didn’t need to because he was right on her heels, as eager as she. The door fell shut behind them, and then she heard the unmistakable sound of the lock turning and the bolt sliding into place.

She turned and studied Seth standing by the door. “What are you doing over there? Trying to figure out your prize?”

Pushing off the door, he stalked across the room toward her. “What makes you think I won?”

“I heard a lot of cheering from your corner of the casino.” Every time she’d looked over, he was pulling another pile of chips off the table. The crowd loved it.

He shook his head. “Not from me you didn’t.”

Now that she thought of it, he was right. People had been cheering around him, but every time she caught sight of Seth, he’d looked disappointed.

“I thought they were cheering for you.”

He nodded. “They were.”

“So, you won a lot of money?” Which meant he had more than her and she’d have to do whatever he wanted. She hoped whatever it was it involved them naked on a flat surface—any flat surface.

He shook his head.

Her heart sank. “What do you mean you didn’t win a lot of money?”

“Well, I did,” he clarified. “I won something like six hundred dollars, I think.”

Her mouth fell open. “Seth, I realize you live a life a little different than mine, but you do realize that winning six hundred dollars is a lot of money, right?”

He chuckled. “Yeah, but then I lost it.”

“You lost it?”

As he pulled her close, their bodies aligned chest to chest, groin to groin. She resisted the urge to tilt her hips and press into the hardness of his body.

“Yep. How’d you do?”

She pushed back to look him in the eyes. “You lost all of it?”

He nodded.

“Six hundred dollars?”

“Six hundred and twenty dollars,” he clarified.

Her heart pounded so painfully in her chest she didn’t know how he didn’t feel it. “So you have…”

“No money. Zero dollars.” He grinned.

“Why are you smiling? You lost six hundred and twenty dollars.”

As he shrugged, his chest moved up and down, sliding across her already sensitive nipples. She bit back a moan, but the tightening of Seth’s hands on her hips assured her he’d heard.

“And I couldn’t think of a better use for it. How’d you do?”

She blinked, trying to catch her bearings. “I . . .uh. . .I have twenty dollars.”

Seth’s eyes narrowed. “You started with twenty dollars.”

“Uh huh.”

“How did you manage to break even?”
