“Hey!” Reaper shouted at his retreating form. “She’s my niece too!”

“Whatever!” Savage shouted back. “I’m a full Uncle. You’re just a half Uncle. Besides, I won’t have her manhandled by common thugs. She’s better than that. Better than all of us!”

“You’re a damn killer Savage, and who are you calling a thug?” Viper asked.

“Don’t listen to him, Princess. I just make people go to sleep for an exceptionally long time and only because they were very, very bad. Say the word, and I’ll make Viper go to sleep too.”

“Dear God,” Healer groaned. “He’s lost it.”

“Yep,” Smoke chuckled.

As my brother left and the others followed to give him a hard time, I suspected, I looked at Reaper, still smiling as he watched the scene before him. I’d never seen him this way before, so carefree. It was refreshing, but I knew it wouldn’t last forever. I wasn’t done with my story, and I knew what I told him next would seal mine and Dylan’s fate. “Reaper, I need to tell you something else.”

He turned to me. His smile gone. “What?”

“When Dylan learned of his mother’s murder, he looked into it. He knew something was off. What he found led him down a path of destruction. I can’t stop him. He won’t listen to me. He has this list of names. The men involved ordered his mother's death. Your dad was on that list. He still doesn’t know that Pop’s was his father, or you are his brother. I couldn’t tell him. But you should know that Bullseye was the one who fired the shot that killed Pop’s.”

Reaper stared at me stone-faced then spoke words that chilled me to my core. “I know. I hired him.”
