“How’d you know I’d come here first?”
“Why do you think I made that extra pot of your coffee this morning?” A shrug, her expression a combination of No Big Deal and smug. “I know you, honey.”
Yeah, she did.
And fuck, he loved her for it.
“I knew you wouldn’t leave me without my morning cup.” She leaned closer, kissed the hinge of his jaw. “Plus, I knew that you’d try to sneak some cookies.” Another kiss. “So, I made a few more batches tonight. Yours are safe.”
“Fuck, I love you.”
“Yeah, yeah.” She patted his arm. “Save the sappy stuff for when we’re checking items off on my list later tonight.” A wink that had his cock twitching before her fingers wrapped around his and she drew him forward, over the threshold and toward the throng of his siblings. “It’s junk food and family time.”
“In that order?”
A squeeze of his hand. A smile tossed over her shoulder. “In any order you want, honey.”
He drew her back against him. “Baby?” he asked into her ear.
“Yeah?”
“There was one more thing I was going to pick up here tonight.”
