“Did she ask you to go with her?” Damian thought he knew the answer based on Cole’s demeanor, but he had to ask thequestion.

Damian drummed his fingers on the desk. He hadn’t explicitly told Aria to stay put in the hotel — but he had told her not to leavewithoutCole.
