There would be noneed.

He would turn her over to see her ass framed by the black straps, would observe her skin through them like a present wrapped in nothing butribbon.

He would have total access to her sensitive nipples, exposed through the straps, would easily rip the thin fabric covering her pubis to drive intoher.

Jenna touched her abdomen. She wouldn’t be able to wear something like it much longer. Soon her stomach would swell, her hips would expand. Then she would look like a pork roast wrapped intwine.

But notyet.

She wanted the garment — if that’s what one wanted to call it — with a desire that surprised her. It spoke to her in ways the delicate silks and satins hadn’t, made her want to secret it home and try it on, pull out some of the toys she’d brought fromTuscany.

Farrell likedtoys.

So didshe.

“Hot.”

Jenna turned, surprised to find the words had come from Angel, studying the garment with a knowingsmile.

“I was thinking the same thing,” Jenna said. She lifted a hand to catch the eye of the sales clerk and waited for the young woman to make her way to the mannequin. “I’d like this in a medium, please.”

“Would you like to try it on?” the young woman asked in accentedEnglish.

“No, thankyou.”

Trying it on would give her an opportunity to change hermind.

She didn’t want to change hermind.

She wanted to take the scrappy contraption home and wear it for Farrell. If sex was the one language they were still speaking effectively, she would make sure he heard her loud andclear.

The woman gave a slight tip of her head. “As you wish. I’ll have it waiting when you’reready.”

“Thankyou.”

“Wow,” Angel said. “That wasbold.”

Jenna turned to look at her. “Bold?”

“Not trying it on,” Angelsaid.

“Did you see that thing?” Jenna asked. “It’s got a one-size-fits-all look to it, doesn’tit?”

Angel laughed. “You’re probably right.” She leaned in, squeezed Jenna’s arm. “You’re going to drive Farrellmad.”

Jenna smiled. “I hopeso.”

Angel looked around, then lowered her voice. “Did you tellhim?”

Jenna shook her head. “I haven’t found the righttime.”

Angel, seeming to sense her distress, leaned in to give her a hug. “Not to worry,” she said. “The right time will presentitself.”

“I hope so,” Jenna said. “If I don’t find a way to tell him soon, it’s going to announceitself.”

Angel looked up at the mannequin. “Especially in thatthing.”

Jenna was still laughing when Isabel joined them, her arms laden with bags bursting with the lilac tissue paper that was one of the store’s signaturecolors.
