“Why would he want to see my pictures? I mean, I know he said he’d love to see them at the fundraiser, but I thought that was just cocktail partytalk.”

Robin smiled. “Itwasn’t.”

“I don’tunderstand.”

She shrugged. “He thinks we might be able to use you. In a professional capacity, thatis.”

Karen smiled. “Neen… this isamazing!”

Nina shook her head. “I still don’t get it. I’m miles away from being aprofessional.”

“Maybe,” Robin said, “but why not meet with him and see where itleads?”

Nina sat back on the blanket, her mind turning over the development. She hadn’t even shown Liam her photographs yet. Moni had seen them and liked them, and Robin, but having your best friends like your work wasn’t the same thing as having a stranger likeit.

On the other hand, she’d learned over the past two years that the universe seemed to open doors for a reason. And there were really only two choices when presented with an open door: close it and never know what was on the other side, or take a deep breath and walkthrough.
