I start wondering whether or not I can actually pull this off. Eventually, I'll have to tell some of my men. At least Saul, and maybe Phoenix too, but I can't have them revealing who I am to Tallulah. Maybe I'll only tell my right hand man. I trust him and I believe he can keep a secret even though he's disappointed me in the past.

I take another long drag of the cigarette and shake out the ashes on the road.

We're not far away now, and soon enough, I'll have to explain what happened. For now though, Tallulah will have to remain in the truck tied up and blindfolded. Like a wild animal.

It takes another twenty minutes for me to arrive at my home. There are guards already waiting along with Saul.

"Where's the fire?" Saul asks with a troubled expression. "You're driving like a madman. And where's Tallulah?"

I know he was worried about me when I just disappeared after I left Tallulah free in the woods. But there was no way I wasn't bringing her back, and I'm sure Saul's well aware of it.

I leave the car running, so Tallulah won't suspect our journey is over. I walk out and approach Saul, glancing at him with a guilty expression and a heavy smirk.

"You knew I was going to go after her."

"Of course I knew," he grins. "You never could leave that girl alone, but I'm starting to accept that and realize she may be the one for you... As fucked up as your relationship is. But you do need to attend to business sooner rather than later, Xavier. We've left things waiting for too long and we need your help. I can't be the only one carrying the weight of this cartel on my shoulders. We need ourpadronback. We need a man who oversees all our actions. "

I don't respond, staring at the paved ground.

"You need to get your head back in the game," Saul says.

"My head will be firmly back in the game after I get my dick inside that girl," I mutter to myself, hoping he didn't hear me, but from his knowing glare, I know he did.

"What do you want us to do with her?" He asks next.

"Well, first of all, nobody can know I took her, and nobody can tell her who I am. She's going to spend her time here blindfolded and tied up, because I can risk her finding out I'm the one who has her. As far as Tallulah Gunn knows, I'm my brother."

"You're pretending to be Xander?" Saul asks incredulously.

"I thought it was the only way to do things right. You know I need to punish Tallulah for everything she's done, and it'll be easier for me if she believes I'm somebody else. I can't hurt her as myself and I can't hurt her when her eyes are staring up at me with all that hope and desire she still has left after everything I did to her. Can you make sure nobody finds out that she's here? And on top of that, can you also make sure that Tallulah doesn't realize she's still with me? We need to convince her she's with Xander."

Saul sighs, rubbing his temples warily.

"I don't know how much more shit I'm going to have to take because of this girl. But you know by now I can't say no to you, padron.I will do whatever is necessary to keep the girl in the dark about her whereabouts and who she's with."

"Thank you," I bark, pointing to the pickup truck. "She's in there. You can take her in now. Just make sure she doesn't hear your voice or see anything. You can put her in one of the bedrooms. I want her to be comfortable. But make sure to take out all the furniture. Leave only a bed and a mirror facing it so I can watch myself fucking her-"

Saul raises his eyebrows at me.

"So you're still planning on fucking her?"

"Of course," I chuckle darkly. "That's the whole reason I took her. You didn't think I was gonna let some other men have her, did you?"

He shakes his head with a hearty laugh.

"I never thought you could give her up. Even when I was convincing you that you should walk away from her, I knew you never would. And like I told you, I'm okay with that. As long as the work we need to get done gets done. And soon enough, Xavier, we'll have to talk about your brother for real. We'll have to talk about the fact that we still haven't found Ivette and we still haven't killed her. She was your one bargaining chip against your brother, wasn't she?"

I nod. I don't know what to tell him. Ivette was the one hope I had for getting back at Xander for everything he did to me. But I've been soft on him since Tallulah came along. I can feel it deep within me that I can't bring myself to hurt another woman.

Even though I promised myself I would bring Tallulah to justice, I know I'm unable to harm a member of the opposite sex. It's just too difficult to imagine her pale skin blooming with bruises I inflicted, not unless she enjoys it, and begged me to put them there. But these thoughts are something I can't put into words and Saul seems to understand I need some time to think.

"Why don't you go to your office?" he suggests. "We'll make sure Tallulah is situated. And once you've calmed down, had a drink, maybe a smoke, you can come and visit her. Until then, I'll keep a guard watching over her at all times. Someone she doesn't know. Definitely not Julio."

"Definitely not," I bark. "And make sure the guard is outside of her room. I don't want anybody looking at her. She's still naked."

"Do you want us to give her any clothes?"

"No," I bark out instantly. "I want her to stay naked. She's going to be naked for the remainder of her stay with me. And only at the end of that while I decide how I'll proceed. If she breaks appropriately, I might keep her as a little fun little toy for my dick. But if she doesn't... well, I might as well let Xander have her because then she'll be useless to me."
