Kai’s dark gaze hooded subtly. “Yes.”

Breck shifted his weight, surprised by how tempted he was. Was it insane to even contemplate such a thing? “What would I wear?” The equivalent to a ski mask and athletic garb surely wouldn’t mesh.

“I’ll worry about that. Just bring yourself.”

Breck swallowed, holding Kai’s gaze. A small, crazy part of him really wanted to do this. To be bold. It’d be exciting. Everything involving Kai always was. Just thinking about it had his heartbeat accelerating.

“I don’t know…” It’d be risky. Irresponsible. Reckless. What if, somehow, someway, someone discovered who he was?

Kai watched him as he debated, then slid his hands from Breck’s head to his jaw. “Think on it,” he encouraged. “It’s an experience. Few get a chance to even look inside.” His dark gaze dropped to Breck’s mouth. Slowly, he thumbed his lower lip.

Breck’s stomach flipped. “Okay,” he murmured. “I’ll think on it.” Although, when his brain cleared, this all could be ahell fucking no.

Kai smiled. Dropped his hands. “Good boy.”

Breck blinked, then shot him a scowl. “Stop calling me aboy.”

Kai’s lips twitched but he didn’t reply. Just headed for his music dock to retrieve his phone. Walking back, he pulled up his photos, then handed his iPhone to Breck. “For your approval, as promised.”

Oh, God. He’d forgotten about those pictures yet again.

Taking Kai’s cell, he did a scroll through, inspecting each image. Like last time, no incriminating angles had been captured to expose his identity. He paused on one of the photos. Lingered. Okay, for real, he looked hot in Kai’s ropes. All strung up and completely immobilized. At Kai’s total mercy… His dick started to swell.

He cleared his throat and handed it back. “Looks good. Thanks.”

Kai inclined his head. “You’re welcome. The pleasure was mine.”

Breck nodded with a grin. “It was definitely a ride.”

Kai’s lips curved as their gazes lingered. A few moments later though, he glanced at the clock. “Hmm. It’s getting late.” He looked back at Breck. “And unfortunately, my days start early.”

Aka Breck’s cue to scram. Not that he wouldn’t have minded staying awhile. His sated ass all chilling on Kai’s couch. He liked it here. The vibe was calming. The polar opposite of his current digs. What’s more, he liked hanging with Kai more than his frat house bros. Which wasn’t to say he didn’t love his boys. Those fuckers were just obnoxious. And annoying. And loud.

Whatever. He understood what Kai was saying. And in truth, he had to agree. Too much time together was a bad idea. Too much exposure and he might end up addicted. Kai’s allure was just too enticing. And Breck’s dumb ass was definitely not immune. Even now, he was already jonesing for another hit.

Walking to the couch, he swiped up his tee and pulled it over his head—then stilled and made a face as he glanced at the floor. “Um… You got a hand towel?” He gestured sheepishly to where he’d come on the ground.

Kai chuckled. “You’re good. I got it.”

Breck nodded and headed for the door.

Kai accompanied him down the stairs.

Breck reached the vestibule, but paused at the exit. “So… I’ll uh… text you… or something.” The sentiment felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Forced. They weren’t lovers, after all. Not forreal. And honestly, Breck wasn’t even sure they were friends. Which left him on unsteady footing, unsure how to act.

Kai’s shuttered expression didn’t help.

Kai opened the door, then turned to Breck and smiled. “Good night, handsome sub.”

— SEVEN —

“Fuck, that’s bright,” Breck muttered as he parked his ass on his frat house’s front steps. He’d needed the fresh air. Had woken up to a house reeking of stale beer. What’s more, his head was killing him and his stomach felt like shit. Yet the sun’s warmth on his skin felt really good.

He never should’ve stayed up drinking last night. Now he was hungover yet again.

Ever the plight of a fraternity brother.

In his defense though, his housemates hadn’t taken no for an answer. Had been ready to throw it down and were determined to take him with.
