“Thank you, Derek. You’re a wonderful man.”

“Yeah. I’ll see you later.” He opened the front door and left.

My heart ached for Derek. I never wanted to hurt him, but now I knew the truth. Will hadn’t cheated on me, and my heart belonged to him. We belonged together.

I closed the door and locked it. Pressing my back against it, I called, “Will?”

“In your bed, baby.” His sexy smooth voice melted me.

God, I’d missed him so much. I smiled as I rushed to my room. At the threshold of the door, I stopped to admire the irresistible masterpiece in my bed. Will was resting against the headboard, his bare chest on full display, a cocky smirk on his delicious lips. The sheet hit just below the start of his happy trail.

“What are you doing?” I crossed my arms over my chest and pushed my hip out. But I already knew what he had in mind. I was beyond ready for round two.

“You’re so fucking gorgeous, M.” His dark eyes raked over my body. “Get your sexy little ass over here so we can have a proper reunion before I leave tomorrow.” He pulled the sheet back.

I clenched my thighs together, seeing his fully staffed cock.

I slipped my robe off and let it fall to the ground, then quickly removed the rest of my clothing and joined him in bed.

Will straddled me, lowering his face to mine. I could come just feeling his warm breath on my lips and the tip of his erection lightly touching my clit. It was the anticipation that was the biggest turn-on when I was with Will.

“I missed you so much, M. I’ve been a worthless piece of shit since you’ve been gone.”

“I haven’t been much better.”

26 Will

I HOVERED ABOVE Miranda, drinking her in. Her blue eyes glittered, her cheeks pink with arousal. She took my breath away; she was so beautiful. I skimmed the tips of my fingers down her lovely neck and across the fair skin of her chest, then watched her breathing deepen.

“You’re so damn perfect, M.” I continued my journey to her breast and teased her nipple, rolling the firm berry and pinching it between my fingers.

Miranda reached her pelvis up to me and moaned. I loved to hear her erotic melodies. They were my favorite music, and I’d missed them like crazy. I’d lie alone in our bed each night, trying to recall the sounds she made when we made love, but my memory had betrayed me. I couldn’t conjure a single sound or her voice. I’d been so utterly devoid of all things Miranda the last three weeks. I’d never experienced such emptiness before. It felt like I had died inside.

“Will, please. It’s been too long,” she muttered.

Ah, her breathy voice always turned me into a feral, hungry beast. But I’d control my selfish desires. I wouldn’t rush this reunion like I had when I fucked her earlier. That wasn’t the kind of reunion I’d wanted, but I had to have her the second we were alone together. Yes, I’d pushed myself on her, but if she had refused, I would have stopped. But I knew Miranda. She never denied me because she loved me as much as I loved her. If she’d refused or pushed me away, it would have been a sign her feelings had changed, and I would have been devasted.

“Soon, baby…” I continued my way down to her stomach, paying close attention to the changes in her body. Her fuller breasts, light green veins, and darker pink nipples were magnificent. Her waist wasn’t as narrow and her hipbones were not as defined, and then there was the small bump. She was a paragon of beauty, pregnant with our child.

I moved down and kissed the spot where our baby was, and Miranda inhaled a deep breath.

“Hi, my little angel. I’m here now. I’m so happy you’re here too.” I kissed her tummy again. “I’m your daddy. I love you so much, my sweet girl.”

“Girl? It could be a boy.” Miranda laughed as she buried her fingers into my hair and massaged my scalp. Tingles shot down my back. Fuck, I missed her touch.

“It’s a girl. I feel it in the marrow of my bones. She’s going to be a little princess.” I dotted kisses all over our baby. I had weeks to make up for, no, months.

“Truthfully, the day I found out I was pregnant, I also thought it was a girl. I was listening to music while I was preparing a stir fry. Stevie Wonder came on.” Miranda swallowed, her voice thick with emotion. ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ is the song my dad sang to me when I was born.” She wiped a tear from her cheek.

My chest tightened, hearing the sadness in her voice. I remembered the day she was talking about and the burned chicken in the wok. That day felt like a lifetime ago.

I crept back up and pulled her into my arms. Skin to skin, it was like coming home.

“There are no words for how sorry I am for putting you through hell. I’ll happily spend the rest of my life making it up to you. I promise, M, I’ll make it up to you.”

“I won’t downplay it. It was hell. But I know you, and it must have been hell for you too.”

“It killed me to lie to you. I was going out of my mind every time I made you cry.” I kissed her temple, holding my lips in place. “I’m done lying to you. I can’t do it anymore. Axel would probably beat the shit out of me if he knew I told you everything. That’s why you need to keep quiet about it. You can’t tell Lily or Tate.”
