I set my bottle on the counter and followed his orders, getting on my back in front of him. I wasn’t supposed to talk about the photos or the nutjob stalking me.

“You know how my dad is.” I rolled my eyes. “It’s always something with him.”

“I guess it’s the price you pay for living off an inheritance. Daddy Warbucks gets to call the shots.”

“Hey! Not. Nice. He doesn’t call the shots… all the time.”

Lily giggled. “Only some of the time, which ends up being a lot of the time.”

“You’re not helping, friend.” I lifted my right leg for the hamstring stretch.

Corbin gazed down at me. “So is everything okay? Two guards seem serious.” His hand massaged the back of my thigh. I winced as he pressed into my sore muscles.

“He’s just overprotective, ya know.”

“Flex your calves, babe.” He kneaded my leg down to my glutes. “Well, you are his princess.”

“Don’t remind me.” We switched legs. “He forced me to stay at the mansion last night, then we got into it when I left on my own accord this morning.”

“No wonder you’re so tense.” His hand worked the muscle in my glute. “I’ll massage your shoulders when we’re done here.”

“You’re done now.”

I whipped my head toward the front door at the sound of Axel’s harsh voice.

“Axel, be nice.”

He stalked toward me, eyes narrowed with a snarl to his lip. I’d never seen him like this before. He looked like he could rip Corbin to shreds.

“What the fuck’s going on here?”

“Hey, man, just stretching my client here.” Corbin lowered my leg and offered me his hand.

Axel shoved Corbin to the side. “I got her.” He squatted down, leveling his eyes to mine. “Make him leave.”

My heart raced. I stared into his dark, penetrating eyes, but I wasn’t afraid. Axel seemed different.

“I heard you.” Corbin collected his stuff.

“Must you be so rude?” I whispered as Axel helped me up.

“Yes, when a dude is touching you.”

“Mhm. I should be going too.”

I cut my eyes to Lily. She was smirking as she grabbed her purse.

“You don’t have to. Neither of you needs to leave. Axel here doesn’t call the shots.”

He left my side and opened the door. “Leave. Now.”

“Looks like he does.” Lily hugged me and whispered. “He has a hungry look in his eyes. I think you’re his next meal.” Her words made me shiver. “Call me tomorrow.”

“I will.” I waved to her as she headed out the door.

“Good seeing you, Axel.”

He grunted, keeping his hardened gaze on Corbin.
