Hungry for his mouth.

Thirsty for his taste.

Desperate for his touch.

The very thought of being close to a man used to send me over the edge, but right now, I felt in control—empowered.

“Your lips are addictive,” he muttered into my mouth.

“So are yours.” I released his face and took his hands, placing them on my hips. “Touch me.”

He obeyed by flattening his palms and gliding them up my back. “Like this?”

“Mmm, yes.” I sighed, dropping my head back. “Kiss my neck softy.” Arousal spread through me at rapid speed. I hadn’t felt like this before with the few boyfriends I’d had.

Drew’s lips were featherlight on my skin, traveling along the curve of my neck to my throat.

I hummed. It was so heavenly, everything and more than I dreamed of.

A loud knock startled me. “Ire, we need to get a move on.”

“Need a few more minutes, Prez.”

“Hurry it up,” Storm barked.

Drew dropped a kiss on my chin. “We need to talk.”

“Oh, right. I forgot.”

“Me too.” He didn’t take his hands off me. “The club is going on lockdown.”

“Lockdown? What does that mean?”

“We’re closing our businesses. All family members will stay at the compound. I want you there with me.”

“Why? What about Nana?” I knew that stubborn old bird. She’d refuse to leave her home.

Drew wanted me with him?

“She can come with you. What happened earlier was a strong message from a rival MC in the Twin Cities. The woman who was in here saw you. They could’ve been watching us while you were working out.”

“So they’re evil, like the Dirty Hunters?” My blood pressure spiked.

“Yeah, Ava, they are.” He wrapped his muscly arms around me. “But I’ll protect you. My club will protect you.”

“But I don’t have anything to do with your club.” Then again, I hadn’t the night at The Bullet either. Drew had told me some clubs didn’t give a crap about anyone but themselves. The Knight’s Legion wasn’t like that. It was why I’d lowered my guard and had been spending more time at the compound.

He hugged me tighter. “But you have everything to do with me.” He ghosted his lips across mine. “I won’t take any chances with you.”

Wow. I really liked this side of Drew. Except… I felt his hard length digging into my hip. It did two things to me.

One: It made me wet and throbbing.

Two: It freaked me out to the point I wanted to jump off his lap.

It seemed my mind and body were at war with each other.

Fight the urge, Ava. Drew won’t hurt you.
