“Good,” Storm muttered. “I need to find my woman.” He left the bar.

Lynx waggled his brows. “He needs to work off some tension.”

“So do I.” Boxer left next.

“I’d love to work off some tension.” I covered my mouth, appalled that my thoughts had come out of my mouth.

Lynx snorted. “Miss Ava, I do declare this is a side I’ve not seen before.”

I playfully shoved him. “Because I don’t talk freely about such things like you do.”

Lynx clucked his tongue. “Intimacy is a natural part of life.”

“Daddy!” Lynx’s little girl squealed as she ran into his arms.

“Hey, Peanut, where’s Mommy?”

“I’ll see you around, Lynx. I need to check on Ire.” I waved on my way out and almost bumped into Jaynee. “Oops, sorry.”

“No worries.” She smiled softly. “I’m just chasing after Sadie.”

Lynx shouted, “Let me know if you need anything else, Ava!”

I watched as he met Jaynee halfway and smashed his lips to hers. They didn’t seem to care who was around as they kissed unapologetically, with Sadie giggling in Lynx’s arms. They were the most perfect couple and family. I’d always known the right woman would capture Lynx’s heart, and when she did, he’d never let her go.

Envy sprouted in me.

Would I never get to experience Drew showing the world how much he loved me like that? Or have a family? I couldn’t imagine being with another man. I didn’t want anyone but him.

I proceeded up the stairs, my frustration building with every step I took. At the door, I knocked firmer than I’d intended.

It opened, and one of the kittens appeared. “Hi.”

I raked my eyes over her, relieved her clothes were still on. “What are you doing here?”

“Come in, Ava,” Drew said. “Becca just stopped by to check on me. She wasn’t doing anything.”

I went to the foot of his bed, willing myself to not break down, to not show jealousy even when it flooded my veins. I didn’t know whether to believe him. She could’ve been giving him a blow job or jerking him off for all I knew. The kittens did everything and anything the bikers wanted. I didn’t care what they did so long as they stayed away from my man.

“I’ll go. Let me know if you need anything,” Becca said in a flirty voice.

I glared at her. “He won’t need anything from you or any of the kittens. Tell them to stay the hell away from my man. Understand?”

Becca’s eyes went wide as she gaped. “Last I heard, Ire hadn’t claimed a woman.” She was the newest kitten. I was sure she hadn’t been with Drew, which was probably why she was sniffing around him.

“Do you want me to drop-kick your ass right this second, kitten?” I stormed toward her.

“No. Sorry!” She ran out of the room.

I slammed it shut. “Bitch.” I whirled around, went to Drew, and pulled his blankets back. He was fully dressed and not sporting a tent in his pants. I exhaled in relief. “Oh, good.”

He wrapped his hand around my wrist and tugged me onto the bed. “Oh good, what, Ava?”

My heart rate kicked up a notch. “Your bottoms are still on.”

“Did you think I’d screw around on you?” His other hand went on my thigh and rubbed it.

His touch soothed me. I tingled, needing more. “Maybe.”
