“I’m not sure, but I am coming back.”

“I know you will. A spare key is taped behind the welcome sign next to the door.”

I screwed up my face. “That’s dangerous. Any whack job could find it.”

“So far, nothing has happened.” She curled into a ball under the covers and tucked the blanket under her chin.

“Jesus Christ. You should’ve told me it was there when I was making your place secure.”

“I forgot. Remember, concussed.” She pointed at her head.

“Yeah, I know. Call me if you need anything.” I kissed her one more time.

“But you’re working.”

“Doesn’t matter. If you need something, you call me.” I couldn’t believe how difficult it was to leave her, but I had to tear myself away.

The Faceless Frat was on the attack. All hell might be breaking loose.

I had no choice but to leave my pregnant woman.

In less than two hours, Aeros was secured and empty. It had been easier and faster than I expected with all the employees working together to evacuate the guests. It was still chaotic, dealing with drunk clients who were pissed off for being forced to leave, but at least it was done.

I parked my motorcycle behind the warehouse where we did interrogations. I’d call Hope to check on her, but I doubted she was awake at three in the morning. Instead, I called Mason before going inside.

“Mason here.”

“How’s it going?”

“It’s quiet. No activity on the property.” Every time he spoke, his military training came through. It put my mind at ease.

“Good.” A chill zipped down my spine, so I went inside. “I should be back in an hour or so. If anything feels off, call me.”

“Got it.”

I ended the call and dialed into my brothers’ voices.

Cobra and part of the crew were here. I was more than ready to be face to face with our captive. Buff had warned that Cobra didn’t want him killed yet. I had mixed emotions about it. I didn’t kill people just for the hell of it, but this guy could have severely injured Hope or worse. She could’ve lost the baby.

I wanted to hurt him, make him pay for touching my girl.

There hadn’t been any more bombings. It appeared the Faceless Frat had only wanted to show us their abilities. We heard them loud and clear. There’d been twenty-three locations tagged with FF. Now there were twenty-one.

“Some night, huh?” I stalked toward my brothers. Bone and Spectre weren’t around.

“It’s messed up.” Cobra hissed. “There were four injuries and one died at the scene.”

“It could’ve been worse,” I told him.

“Yup, way worse,” Buff said.

“Did you get anything out of him?” I jerked my chin to our prisoner, strapped to a chair.

“Yeah, he’s the leader’s younger brother.” Buff glanced over his shoulder. “We hit the lottery.”
