“Thanks. I hear you’re expecting too. Our kids will be close in age.” She put her hand on her stomach, and I did the same.

“Yup, by a couple of months.” I took in the large country-style kitchen. Cooper molds hung on the wall across from me. I was sitting at the end of a long table for twelve. White ruffled curtains dressed the windows. It was the most pleasant and homey kitchen I’d ever been in.

“Nova is thrilled about the babies. She can’t wait to cuddle them.”

“Levi talks about her all the time.” Where was he? I didn’t think I could wait another second before seeing him. “Are you a pro like Lady M waiting for the men to get home?”

“Not really. But Abe knows I’d kill him if he didn’t come home to me.”

Lady M laughed. “Ain’t that the truth.” She set a mug in front of us. “You girls just need to remember they’re Knights, and nothing will keep a Knight from his woman.”

The roar of motorcycles made us all turn toward the window.

“Is it them?” I stood to check it out.

Lady M came to my side. “Nope, that’s not them.”

“Oh good grief, this is insanity.” I dropped onto my chair.

Minutes later, a few men entered.

“Storm, it’s good to see you.” Lady M hugged him. “How’s Angel and Birdie?”

“They’re great.” He darted his dark, intense eyes at me, then looked at Karma.

“Hey, Storm, Hero, Dodge.” Karma pointed at me. “This is Hustler’s Hope. His old lady. They have a baby on the way.”

“Really?” Storm’s eyebrows shot up, along with the other guys. “Congratulations.”

“Thanks. It’s nice to meet you all. I actually recall seeing you and Dodge at the hospital last summer.” I hadn’t seen Hero before.

“Were you the nurse who turned a blind eye to my baby being in ICU?” Dodge asked.

“That was me.” My face heated.

“Hustler took you to a room to—”

“No, I took him to a room,” I cut off Storm.

“Damn, okay.” He and the others chuckled.

“Coffee?” Lady M passed out mugs.

I’d never seen so many ruggedly handsome men in one room. So far, it appeared every member of the club should’ve been on the cover of a romance novel. Well, everyone except my man. I didn’t want thousands of women drooling over Levi’s cut abs and ripped biceps.

“Breakfast is ready. You boys eat up before Abe, and the others get home,” Lady M told them.

A car horn tooted. Karma and I jumped out of our seats and went to the window.

“It’s them.” She grabbed my hand. “Come on, Abe, where are you?”

I held my breath searching for Levi.

A couple of motorcycles rumbled toward the house as men exited the van. The anticipation drove me crazy. I was a nervous wreck compared to Lady M and Karma.

Storm and his crew didn’t appear fazed. They had a business-as-usual air about them. I guessed I could liken it to working in the ER. Many of us became desensitized over time from all the trauma we saw.

“There he is,” Karma said on an exhale. The relief on her face was palpable. “Look, there’s Hustler.” She raised her arm, covered in tattoos, and pointed. I’d admire them another time.
