“Let me have it,” Mason said in a low, raspy voice.

I glanced over my shoulder. “We’ll see. Let’s do this.” I reached for the doorknob, inhaled a deep breath, and blew it out.

My woman would meet my wrath very soon. When we were alone, I’d make her explain why she didn’t come back to me. I wanted to know why she felt baring her chest to drunk bikers would be a better gig than being my old lady.

“If we’re not out in two minutes, you come in ready for war,” Bone told Easton and Mason. They weren’t going in with us to not draw attention.

I had Mason wait by the door to make sure Reign and I got out and made it to the truck, then he’d go with us in case we were followed.

“Got it.” Easton moved to the side, and Mason went to his right side with his gun drawn.

“We aren’t here for war,” I told them.

Bone snorted. “Bullshit. We didn’t come for a beer and a topless show.”

“No, we didn’t.” I pulled open the door, stepped inside, and quickly assessed the room. Two old dudes were on our left, and three bikers wearing cuts were at the bar.

I could handle all five on my own. My woman and another chick were behind the counter, shaking their asses to a ZZ Top song.

Were they high? Drunk? Had to be both for Reign to shake her tits in front of strangers. Or not. Who the hell knew how my girl had changed over the last few years? Her college education and experiences were obviously top-notch.

I nearly roared like the king of the jungle, announcing my arrival and staking my claim. Bone would have lost his shit. Instead, I stalked toward Reign and leaned casually against the oak bar, just taking her in from head to toe.

My cock instantly woke from the dead like it sensed her presence. She hadn’t noticed me yet. So far, no one else seemed to care about Bone and me. I was sure that wouldn’t last long.

The blonde chick smiled. “What can I get you, handsome?” She batted her lashes and arched her back to show off her tits. Pale pink nipples and ivory skin? She did nothing for me.

“Dirty Dr. Pepper.” I threw out Reign’s favorite drink to see if I’d get a reaction out of her. She didn’t seem to hear.

“Oh, that’s a new request. Let me ask the other server.” She turned around to face Reign. “Hey, do you know how to make a Dirty Dr. Pepper?”

The glass in Reign’s hand fell and shattered on the floor.

“Looks like she’s familiar with it.” Bone chuckled, elbowing me.

“Damn straight she is. It was her drink of choice before she left Fargo,” I shouted so she’d hear me.

Reign slowly turned around. Upon seeing me, she wrapped her arms around her bare chest. My eyes traveled over her bruised face, neck, and arms.

“I will fucking kill him,” I mouthed. No man would live to see tomorrow for hurting my woman.

Panic flashed in Reign’s eyes. She shook her head, silently begging me to not cause trouble.

Too bad for her. Trouble was what I craved most this second.

“Regina! What the fuck happened?”

“That’s the prez,” Bone whispered.

I put my hand on my gun.

“It slipped out of my hand, sorry. Sorry.” She teared up and crouched. “I’m cleaning it up.”

“Fucking broad. You’re always breaking shit.” He slapped her upside the head and hovered above her like a giant prick.

I went to pull my gun, ready to takeout the son of a bitch.

“Be cool, brother.” Bone stopped me. “He hasn’t noticed us. And the others will arrive any second.”
