CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Ethan

Hearing from my Swiss bank on my cell is unusual, especially on a weekend.

I confirm their own suspicions about a large scheduled transaction from Switzerland to the US, and I hate to say it, but I admire the balls of Vince, my accountant, for moving so quickly.

Levenson must have you over a barrel to have you doing something so stupid… But better the law gets a hold of you before I do.

I tell myself Vince must’ve figured I’d just sign off on his investment proposal, but when I didn’t, I guess he just went ahead with it anyway.

Tried to.

The bank assures me my funds are secure and that they know exactly what to do from here. But all it does is make me think of the future and the past.

My future with Krissy. And that dark past. Years and years of building everything back up, all alone.

That life before her, without her?

I’ve been down to almost nothing before. And there’s no way in hell I’m going back there.

And with Krissy now, it’s all about us having a future together.

The future she and our kids deserve being threatened by a bumbling accountant who really thinks he can just walk away with our fortune?

It sounds too stupid to even be true, but on the banks say so, I give them the go-ahead to freeze all my accounts Vince has access to and alert the relevant authorities.

Setting the trap so both Vince and Levenson can get caught red-handed.

Hopefully.

So where does that leave Krissy and me?

There are about four million in front if I can beat Levenson at his own game. Helping myself to some of his casino’s millions instead of him being handed mine on a silver platter.

And I don’t plan to breathe a word of anything to Levenson or Vince about what I just learned.

If I even see Vince again.

If he had any sense, he’d be on a plane somewhere south of the border, which he probably already is.

Krissy does her best to keep up with my explaining things. But I’m sensing something else flashing through her mind once our food arrives.

I thought it was just me, wanting her like nothing else.

Feeling like we’re wasting valuable baby-making time talking about money and wannabe gangster accountants.

But once her eyes bore into mine as we start to eat, I get the distinct feeling that she does not want to wait until after dinner tonight or anything else before she gives herself to me completely.

“How’s your meat?” she asks me after we both try focusing on the food.

“Hot… Juicy. Wet.” I observe. Growling low when she shivers a breath.

“Yours?” I ask her between mouthfuls.

Barely chewing now and devouring my steak as quickly as I can.

Already tasting her sweet little pussy in my mouth instead.

“It’s big,” she gasps, suddenly struggling to hold her knife and fork right.

Swaying a little, and once her eyes flutter, I know there’s no time to lose.

“Ethan,” she whispers.

Somehow, we just both know that now is the time.

Like, right now.

“Ethan,” Krissy whimpers, practically panting by the time I pay the check. The waitress looks offended we’re leaving so soon after the food arrives, but I think the tip I leave more than makes up for it.

I hail us a cab, feeling my own biological urge mixing with Krissy’s.

Like we’re two ends of a magnet that need to join, no matter what.

And although my suite’s just down the street, the fifty I slip the driver is a small price to pay for saving Krissy and me some precious moments.

I’ve had tight deadlines and had more money than a small country at stake in the business, but I’ve never felt a more pressing need to put my seed in her belly like I do now.

Using her body to shield my insane arousal, I stop at the reception area long enough to collect the key to my suite.

The clerk recognizes Krissy and looks more than a little surprised at seeing her with me, and she has something else to tell me.

But we’re not exactly in the mood to stop and chat.

“Mr. Silverthorne? You’ve got a ton of messages.” The clerk says as I force a sweaty smile, eager to get my girl upstairs and on her back.

“Later,” I snap. “I’ll deal with everything later,” I call over my shoulder, and not even the mention of my accountant, Vince needing to speak to me urgently is gonna stop me from claiming what’s rightfully mine.

By the time we’re in the elevator, Krissy’s body is shaking under my touch.

Our bodies are locked in a tight embrace as I kiss her so hard I should be worried. But her own need is as big as mine. She matches my grip and kisses like an animal in heat.

Both our bodies seem to know the way to my suite and our bed.
