He hung up the phone and turned to us. "They're sending their people there now. They'll capture as many as they can. Kill anyone who resists."

"Any other text messages from Willow?"

"Her watch is dead," Onyx announced, and we turned to him to see he was on his phone.

"How do you-" I began, but he replied with, "Any device that deep is bound to die from the pressure alone. It's not a device made for underwater communication. It shows it's dead on the app I have to track her."

"What about her phone?"

"It's in another location," he replied. "Number one rule with Willow. She'll never leave any of her belongings behind if she knows she may die. She doesn't want anyone using that evidence against her or those she loves after her death."

That formed a lump in my throat, leaving me no choice but to swallow it down.

We returned our eyes to the screen, our ears continuing to listen to the breaking news report of the scene while we stared at the image of Willow.

I didn’t know how long we just stood there in silence, but it was long enough for my feet to feel numb. I craved to see Willow dance again. To be intrigued by her drunk self and her saucy smile when she stared into my eyes.

I wished to see her as William, the confident jerk of a businessman who defiantly went against our wishes while being a fashion icon in his sexy suits or dressy attire. My yearning was strong enough for me to think she was here, her scent tickling my nose, and I quietly begged her to survive this.

We couldn’t lose someone we'd begun to allow into our lives.

I didn’t want to acknowledge it, but we were already ruined. This woman was still a bloody mystery in so many areas, yet our hearts hurt for her.

Yearned for her presence, her taunting laughter, those fierce eyes of defiance, and the fighting spirit to be something in this world that begged to erase her.

Willow couldn’t be gone. That was what I wanted to tell myself again and again, yet even I was unsure how this would end. Her scent was still assaulting my senses, and the slight bolt of shock cut through our bond and had us all looking at Onyx.

He took two steps forward, but the door behind us opened and closed, just as we all spun around to face whoever had literally waltzed into Onyx's place.

“I’m back from the dead, motherfuckers!”

We were all silent as Willow entered the living room. Her hair was completely white, like she'd somehow lost all her pink dye in the ocean. Her eyes were still a brilliant teal turquoise, but her skin was pale as fuck, bruised up with dried blood that seemed to be located all over her body.

She was wearing shorts and a crop top, her body shivering on its own even though she was standing there boldly as her eyes seemed caught up with what was displayed on the television screen. I had to check her arm to see the wolf tattoo that took up a good chunk of her bicep to confirm it was her, and I wasn’t the only one who did exactly that.

"Damn. I look hideous in that photo! I swear, if they used that as my last shot in this world, I'd be horrified and have to come back to the world to get rid of it myself," she whined and looked around. "I'm hungry."

Onyx was is in her face a second later, kissing her like it was actually their last. She giggled into his mouth, the sound giving us relief. I didn’t realize I was letting out the breath I'd been holding for a hot minute until it reached my own ears.

"Bulky mass of a fucker, move. You're being a selfish dick," she huffed and pushed him away to look at the rest of us. "Jeez. I know you guys hate me and all, but at least respond with a ‘Welcome back from the dead’ or some stupid shit.”

"Welcome back to the land of the living," Neo quietly replied, and we all stared at him in astonishment as Willow smirked and walked over to him. We were shocked as she pulled off his shades for a moment. His eyelids, which were marked with magic circles, opened up to reveal his dangerous black hollows that were glowing with bits of red circling his black irises.

It made Neo look like a demon when he was magically charged and ready to commit an onslaught of murder, and I knew that was what would have occurred if Willow truly died.

"Hey, Mr. Artist," she hummed. "How much can I bargain for you to paint me another picture to put in my room?"

"Give me a kiss and we have a deal," Neo tossed back, and I swear we gasped because he had to be joking. The way Willow's face beamed before she seemed to look back at Onyx to make sure the fucker wasn't going to lose his shit for her kissing another man had my heart racing because I wasn’t sure how Neo would react if she actually kissed him.

Onyx seemed to nod just slightly, and her eyes then move to Dimitris, who was still recovering from his obvious shock. The way his cheeks blushed just slightly told me he was shocked to see her look at him for permission.

"Stop looking at me," he huffed, and she further smirked and returned her gaze to Neo before she pressed her hands against his cheeks and leaned in closer. His hands were on her hips, and we watched it all unfold as Willow leaned in to lay a kiss upon his lips.

It wasn't a fake, quick kiss. It was raw, deep, full of striking emotion, and so fucking hot to watch because it was as though it was happening in slow motion and I couldn’t possibly pull my eyes away from them.

No woman had survived the hands of Neo, let alone his lips. His power revolted against affection, enough that a woman couldn’t last stroking his skin before they were bleeding out and screaming in horror at the assault of pain.

Yet Willow was still standing, kissing this man like he was her everything. There was no hesitation in her lip’s movements, and when Neo shockingly kissed her back, she moaned so lightly it had my cock begging to be let out to play.
