She makes some kind of noise as she tries to breathe around me. Her soft brown eyes gaze into my hard greens.

I give her a little shake and my dick slides across her teeth. “Let me hear you say the words.”

Her tongue moves under my mass. Nothing intelligible comes out. I tighten my grip on her jaw. She needs to try harder.

“Eth, I hee.”

“Good girl.” Again, I fist her hair, lifting the strands from her scalp.

This time, the pace is slower. Drawn out like my groans. They get longer and longer the more she takes me to the edge and back. As her hands tighten on my thighs, I fixate on how her purple nail polish glints in the light.

And right before I pump her mouth full of cum, I tell her one more thing, just so she knows I’m above feeling… anything.

“And Genesis?”

She tilts her head to look up at me and her eagerness to obey my commands has me swallowing around the lie that comes from my head and not from my heart. “Don’t think this is more than what it is... or you’ll regret it.”

Chapter Seven

What I Won’t Do

Genesis

Iwaketosoundsin the kitchen and the living room TV turned on low. Seth must be back. Groaning, I grab my phone from the bedside table to check the time.

A little after 3 AM.

Royce had left around one in the morning. Through half-lidded eyes, I noted the time on the glow from his Apple watch as he’d brushed the hair from my cheek to kiss me, his breath warm and sweet. A few seconds later, the door had closed behind him. I’d let my eyes droop, too tired to say goodbye.

I roll over on my back and look up at the stars glowing on my ceiling, drumming my fingers on my stomach.

I feel good yet icky all the same. Probably due to how Royce and I had left things.

When he’d come over, I was hoping we could talk, maybe determine just where we stood. I could’ve written notes or something… anything to communicate. I was too content to watch him eat, laugh, talk, everything.

I had missed him so much.

And how he stunned me with his gaze as I told him I wanted him. No man had ever looked at me like that. Not even Matt.

I will forever wonder how the night would have turned out if Royce hadn’t found the magazines. Magazines I still can’t believe I didn’t hide in my closet the very moment I learned his grandfather’s company bought STS, or at the latest, after my shower this evening.

Royce probably thought I was some obsessive weirdo, creating fantasies in my mind as I rocked back and forth in a creaky wooden chair, my hair stringy with sebum and my eyes wild.

He shocked me into silence at the way he’d asked if I tried to find him. I almost wondered if he was serious.

His voice, bitter with pain and disappointment, reminded me of how I sounded on my wedding day. I couldn’t form the words to tell him I had attempted to see him six months ago. The hurt he projected in his hunched stance and slumped shoulders made me feel like I was to blame for everything. If it hadn’t been for that damn receptionist—

Damn it! What does it matter now? He made himself clear. He wants nothing more than trysts in secret, and when he leaves, we are over. No lingering goodbyes or plans to meet up.

I can do that. Easy. I’ll let him go without a fuss. To keep my feelings from getting involved, I’ll constantly remind myself that Royce and I are about sex and that’s it. I’ve never gone back on my word, and I’ve never failed in upholding my commitments.

And I won’t start now.

The TV volume grows louder then softer, distracting me from my thoughts.

Seth often watches a show with his date before he leads them back to his room, like some sort of pre-sex icebreaker. I don’t hear any voices, so I guess he is alone. Strange, considering he always comes home with a woman.

Not only does he work for the hottest band in existence, Seth treats a woman like she is a porcelain doll spun from gold. No woman can resist his charm once he talks to her.
