“Tell me what you want to tell me,” Sem says, his hands flexing against my ass.
I sigh. “Fine, but first, I want to say that your feelings are valid, and I am open to compromise….”
“Just fucking tell me. You’re making me nervous,” Sem mutters, and I grab onto his chin, making sure he looks into my eyes.
“Nothing to be nervous about.”
He wets his lips, and I press my thumb to his mouth.
“Colin texted me.”
Sem’s eyes narrow, and I can feel him shift me closer to him.
“He wants me to work with him on a series of videos. I haven’t responded yet, because I want to ask you what you think about it first.”
Sem breathes deeply, and then he says softly, “You do what you want, Maggie. I’m not going to hold you back.”
“You aren’t holding me back, but your feelings are valid, like I said.”
He swallows and looks away from me. “I think you should do it.”
Cocking my head, I watch him, how he inhales deeply and how his Adam’s apple bobs. He doesn’t like me making plans with Colin, but he’ll never say it. I can tell he bottles everything up inside until one day he’ll just keel over from a heart attack from the stress of it all.
“I really think you should do it, Maggie.”
My heart swells in my chest with love for this man. He’s always putting my needs first.
“How about,” I say, pressing a kiss to his cheek, “Colin and I meet here…only when you’re around.”
Sem peeks over at me, his fingers flexing against me.
“Okay.”
“You have to know by now that I want only you.”
He swallows. “Yeah.”
“How about you put dinner on hold, and I show you how much I want you.”
Sem hardens beneath me, and I smirk.
He can never say no to me.
CHAPTERTHIRTEEN
SEM
The glow from the computer makes my eyes water but fuck it all. I need to figure out what this stuff means.
My fingers type in the word, and I bite back a curse, deleting it and starting over.
There, now it’s right.
I blink at the sentence and read it once, twice, and then three times before my brain can process it.
Fuck, I think, rubbing at my jaw. I’m such a fucking idiot.
Just watching Colin and Maggie talk to each other today made me feel small. I didn’t understand anything they were talking about in their vlog. Not a damn word.
