“Oh, honey,” I breathe, swiveling my hips. “You have no idea what I’m capable of.”

And then I start moving, fucking myself on him. Slowly at first, and then picking up the pace as my body adjusts to his size. I’m enjoying this entire thing far more than I should. Watching Sem’s pupils dilate, his cheeks redden, his lips open in a silent gasp as I work him closer to the edge. Witnessing him lose this little bet he thought for sure he’d win is almost better than an orgasm.

“How does it feel to fuck another man, hm?” I ask, and Sem’s Adam’s apple bobs. He doesn’t respond.

I don’t skimp. I make sure to take him all, lowering onto him fully and then dragging my hole right to the tip of his cock. Just to prove a point.

The entire time, we never touch. His hands stay clenched on the couch as mine grip tightly to my thighs. I just ride him, biting my lips to keep any sort of whimper at bay becauseI am not enjoying this. Not even a little. This is just a bet, a dare that I’m winning.

I’m a fucking winner.

Sem’s hips, which were previously still, start to move. Just a fraction, but it’s noticeable, and then his breathing grows erratic, and a small huff exits his mouth. His eyes slam shut, and I feel his hips moving jerkily underneath me until he suddenly stills.

And then it’s over. There’s just me sitting on his spent dick while mine is still painfully hard. Of course, that’stotally fine. I didn’t expect to get off from this. That’s not what this was about. No, this was nothing more than a childish bet.

“I win,” I say and then remove myself from him, slowly, inch by long inch, until I’m completely empty.

I can’t help but glance down at the full condom and Sem’s half-hard dick.

When I speak, I keep a little bite in my words. “You may be the biggest I’ve ever had, but you were a lousy lay.”

Sem flushes crimson at that, and I turn away from him. I flick my hand up in a bratty wave.

“Make sure to toss that shit in the trash,” I say, making sure my voice doesn’t hitch. “And please, lock the door behind you.”

I don’t look back at him as I saunter into the bathroom, and once the door is locked, I sag against the wall, trembling slightly. I glance down and apologize to my very, very disappointed dick.

No, I will not get you off to thoughts of Sem. I have more dignity than that. Thank you very much.

And then, as I step into the shower for the second time today, I apologize to my future husband, Colin. Because, really, what the hell was I thinking doing that with the most infuriating man on the planet?

CHAPTERTWO

Idon’t tell anyone what I did with Sem. I’m a sealed vault. I’m embarrassed that I let my pride take over my common sense. I doubt he’ll say anything to anyone because he’s probably wondering why he went through with it in the first place. Straight men don’t have sex with other men simply because of a silly bet. That’s not a thing.

And I’m sure I would hear about it if he told anyone. Caleb, my friend and Sem’s cousin, would blow up my phone if he knew what went down. He can’t help but nose around like he always does. I’m sure his fiancé, Whit, would be doing something similar, yet more discreetly, like arching an eyebrow or sending me accusing looks with his eyes. He’s really good at that. Caleb says it’s like a superpower, and I’m inclined to agree.

Nope, it’s been radio silence since that fateful morning. I haven’t even seen Sem lurking about like he usually does. Ever since I left him sitting on my couch, he's been a ghost.

It’s been nice.

Very nice.

I think.

“I haven’t seen your shadow around,” August says, leaning against my classroom door, and I sigh as I wipe a table down with some paper towels.

It’s five o’clock, and I’m exhausted. Today at summer camp, we had a water day. Just trying to get kindergarteners to put on sunscreen was ridiculous. Managing them around the water was another thing entirely. It seems all children make it a point to try and die on a daily basis.

I’m ready for a glass of wine and a good documentary. Maybe I’ll even daydream about Colin and how he smiled at me again in class this morning, those sweet eyes sweeping over me as I moved into the Cobra position. He was totally admiring my legs.

“It’s been a week since he last showed up,” August adds and then moves into the room to help me push in some wayward chairs.

“So? That’s a good thing, right?”

“What happened?” August asks, eyeing me with curiosity. “What aren’t you telling me?”

“Pfft,” I say and then toss the paper towels into the trash. “Nothinghappened. Why would you even think that? Nothing happened. Nada. Zip. Zilch.”
