“You’re myboyfriend.” That last word is said on a satisfied exhale, and I smile, rubbing his cheek with my thumb.

“Yeah.”

“I totally won this one. Hello world, I am moving on up.”

He leans down and presses a long-drawn-out kiss to my mouth and my heart swells.

“Does this mean we can hold hands in there. They all know about us, right?”

“Yeah, we can. I told Mag and he tells Sem everything.”

“Oh, thank god,” he says and then he’s kissing me again, grinding his hips into mine. I cannot believe he is ready to fuck again. I literally just blew him in the shower before we left the house. He’d said if I didn’t, he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from humping me in the middle of the restaurant. Something tells me I was tricked and that the public display of dry humping will commence regardless.

Not that I’m complaining. I secretly love that he’s this into me.

A prickle tickles my skin and I rip my mouth from Emery’s and turn my head, flinching when I see Sem lurking right outside my window.

“Seriously?” I groan and roll my window down and Emery and I turn to face Sem and Magnus who are watching us with amused grins.

“A little privacy would be amazing,” I mutter and Emery wiggles on top of me.

“He’s my boyfriend. We just made it official,” Emery blurts, and I sigh, closing my eyes and leaning my head against the headrest.

“Oh, did you now?” Magnus says, and I roll my neck to stare at my friend.

“Yes, we are celebrating. So, can you give us a little privacy? We’ll meet you in there when we’re ready.”

But before Magnus can reply, I see Sem’s brother, Luke, stroll up.

I’ve met Luke a few times at Magnus and Sem’s place. He tends to show up randomly and then just sticks around.

Standing very close to Luke is a man I don’t recognize. But just on observation alone, though they’re roughly the same height, the two of them couldn’t be more opposite. Luke always has a rugged, unkempt appearance––torn oil-stained jeans, long-sleeved Henley, and a backwards baseball cap––similar to Sem. But this new guy looks like he could be a GQ model in impeccably tailored black dress pants, a grey button-up shirt, and a pea coat. His dark hair is gelled into perfection and fashionable tortoise-framed glasses perch on his nose as he eyes everyone before him.

Magnus shrugs. “So, Luke just showed up while we were leaving. Therefore, this is no longer a double date. It is hereby dubbed a triple date.”

“This is not a date,” the man with Luke says. And Luke just throws an arm around the guy’s shoulders and laughs.

“Fuck you going on about, Eli? Don’t make this weird.”

“I am most likely the least weird person here,” Eli says, and I snort a laugh.

“He’s got that right,” Emery whispers and then looks at me. “You might be the most normal person here too.”

“I take issue with that,” Magnus says. “I happen to think that I amverynormal.”

“Oh, fuck off, tiny. You’re crazier than a soup sandwich,” Luke says and scoops Magnus up. Sem growls and snatches his husband away, cradling him to his massive chest.

“Don’t touch him, Luke,” Sem mutters. “You trying to die?”

Magnus sighs like this happens all the time but makes no move to have Sem put him down. Just locks his ankles behind his husband’s waist and glances over at me.

“I don’t think we’ll have any more privacy,” I say and Emery nods.

“I’m going to go charm them,” he replies and scrambles off my lap, pushing open the door and spilling out of it. When he finally rights himself, he smiles widely.

“Hey,” Emery says, pushing a hand through his hair and straightening his shirt. “I’m Emery. I haven’t met you two.”

Luke looks over at him and says, “I’m Luke. Sem’s older brother. And this is Elliot, my best friend.”
