I don’t really want to talk about Lex when Luke is standing right in front of me, wetting his lips and looking so fuckingbeautiful.

“Did you fuck him?”

“Godno,” I say as I run a hand through my disgusting hair. Oh, why didn’t I shower today? “No, there’s only been you, Luke. In so very, very long.”

My voice breaks again, and I blink rapidly.

“You okay, Eli?” he asks.

And I can’t find the words. They’re stuck in my throat.

“I thought you were dead,” I croak as I swallow down the lump in my throat.

I will not cry in front of him.

“Nah, Eli. I’m right here,” he says, and then he sets his beer down and steps toward me.

Oh god, he’s so close, I can smell him. I can reach out and touch him.

I tremble at the proximity, and then he gently takes my hand. He presses my palm to his chest and moves it up to his neck, right where his pulse point is.

And I feel it, the thundering of his heart.

Alive. He’s alive.

“Luke,” I whisper, and then my hand grasps onto his neck tightly, and I’m pulling him into me. My lips crash onto his, and he stiffens in shock.

And for one moment, onehorrendousmoment, I think he’ll push me away, but he doesn’t. He just groans loudly and pulls me right up against him. His tongue wastes no time sliding into my mouth, rubbing against mine, and I am helpless to do anything but melt into him.

I want him.

I want tofeelhim.

I want him on me, all around me, inside of me.

My hands grasp onto his head, my fingers threading through his hair as I tilt my face and lick my way further into his mouth. The depraved sounds we’re making, they’re filthy.

My hips roll against his hard cock, and I feel that pressure between my legs, and I want more. God, I’ve missed this, missed him.

What had I been thinking pushing him away when it could have been like this the entire time?

“Eli,” he grunts as I paw at the bottom of his shirt, yanking it up. “Wait.”

“No, no waiting. You’ve been gone so long,” I mutter and pull his shirt over his head. And then my lips are back on his, and he’s back to fucking my mouth as he presses me into the wall.

“Eli, wait,” he says, but I cut him off, smashing my mouth to his. Now that I have him, I’m never letting him go again. There will be no more waiting, no more games.

No. There is only this. Right here.

“I thought I’d lost you—lost what’smine. No more waiting. Bedroom. Now,” I say between kisses.

He groans his acceptance, reaches down, and hefts me up. My legs wrap around his waist as he carries me down the short hallway and into our bedroom.

Ours.

That’s what it always was. I was deluding myself saying otherwise.

The moment he crashed into my life, he was mine.
