Fists raised, Polyhymnia turned to face Chance, Kelly and Bear. A wicked grin crossed her face at the size of the men facing her, and Polyhymnia beckoned them on. Chance held his hands up and said something, and Clio and I leant forward.

“That’s Polyhymnia,” I said, and Clio nodded. Without another word, we scrambled out of the car and raced towards the youngest sister. Her gaze snapped from the three men in front of her with their hands raised, to Clio and me. Disbelief crossed Polyhymnia’s face. One of the beaten thugs sat up, groaning. Without a word, Polyhymnia kicked him in his face, and he fell back to the pavement.

“What the fuck is this?” Polyhymnia demanded.

“Told you to stay in the car,” Chance growled, keeping his body between Clio and Polyhymnia.

“That wasn’t happening.” Kelly frowned as he spoke.

“My name’s Thalia, and this is Clio. This will be a shock, Polyhymnia, but we’re your sisters,” I blurted. Bear snorted, and Kelly rolled his eyes.

“What the fuck?” Polyhymnia swore. The similarity was there; we looked alike although her eyes were blue, and her hair was auburn. Polyhymnia stared at us as we stared back.

“Your sisters,” Clio said earnestly.

“Fuck, come inside and watch it. Any funny business, and I’m legally obligated to warn you, I’m trained in martial arts and can beat the shit out of you,” Polyhymnia said. She gazed at the men as she said it. Kelly nodded and put his hands down.

“We came to find you, not start trouble,” Kelly said.

“Then come in,” Polyhymnia replied.
