Saint.He is The Wild Wind’s bass player. Saint was a foster kid who was very close to his foster parents and still looks after them. He has a stable home life in his long-term foster placement. Saint has a hair-trigger temper.
Bridge. He is The Wild Wind’s keyboard and synthesiser player. He is a year older than Kye, Chey, Johnno and Zyaire. Bridge’s dad was a nasty drunk, so Bridge often hid at the motel. He stayed clean and studied hard.
Kye Knight.He is the lead male vocal for The Wild Wind. Kye has been recently diagnosed with cancer, although the information hadn’t been released to the press. Chey finds him dead in bed after a fit that causes his heart to stop. Everyone thinks it was a drugs overdose, but the truth was his medication had been over-prescribed. Chance starts his heart again. Kye is Chey’s best friend. Kye’s the only boy with five sisters and a mother who henpecks him. His father left when Kye was five. His mother loves him but doesn’t understand him. Kye credits Nana with him being a decent man.
Johnno.He is The Wild Wind’s lead guitarist. His parents keep commenting that they are waiting for Johnno to grow up and quit music. They don’t recognise his success. His younger brother is jealous of Johnno and hits him up for money. Johnno now doesn’t pick up the phone when he sees Ricky’s name.
Other Characters.
Magic.He owns a bar out in the hills, on an open stretch of road that is a biker neutral zone. Magic doesn’t allow violence in his bar, nor does he allow truces to be broken in it. He’s a big man, but no one knows his age. No one wants to upset Magic. He’s rumoured to have buried the bodies of those who’ve upset him in the hills behind his bar. Magic got shot saving Clio from Slimy Sam.
Nana and Jed.They are Chey’s grandparents and love her very much. Their daughter died, and they raised Chey. Because Chey refused to come back to Spearfish, they visited her on tour. They love Jesse like their own.
Maylene Dixon.Maylene, the quintuplet’s maternal grandmother. (Clio and Thalia) She was devastated when her daughter gave up four of the quintuplets. Her husband died three years ago. She has blond hair and grey eyes with a trim figure.
Dave.He is head of The Wild Wind’s security and has been from the start. He’s very close to the band and dedicated to his job. Dave takes Mick’s death badly.
Mick. He was Chey’s personal bodyguard and was killed by Higgins, who rammed a lorry into their car. His neck snapped on impact, and Mick died instantly.
Tobias Urban.Tobias had ten restraining orders against him and is obsessed with Cheyenne. He has followed them from the start. He offered Chey marriage offers when he discovered she was an unwed Mom. Tobias has broken into her hotel rooms and her home. He claimed to be Jesse’s father, which was proved a lie. He is behind the kidnapping of Chey and is killed by his partner, Colm Higgins.
Ken.The Wild Wind’s manager. He signed them when they were young and helped them grow into a famous group. At the beginning of the book, he is on vacation but returns when the band needs him.
Peter Wiess. He was covering Ken and was a weasel and kept leaking stories to the press. He received a demotion after his actions.
Harry Ireland.He is a reporter that Chey has butted heads with. But Chey respects him and gives Harry the exclusive truth about Kye’s sickness. Harry is also the one she trusts to fairly tell her and Celt’s story.
Dead Hellfire.
Zeus. He ran Hellfire poorly and was into illegal stuff. He was found to be drugging the brothers on Chance’s side to make them do as he wished. He threatened to rape Cheyenne. Zeus also drugged and attacked Tati and Big Al found her in time. Only Chance had known about this, and it was the catalyst for Chance making a move against Zeus.
